Chapter 23 - Breaking down the ego

The morning breeze that pierced the skin made a beautiful girl's eyes blink. A long moan escaped the girl's lips.

He felt a hand wrap around his stomach, causing him to turn his head to the side.

"Aaaa ….."

The scream managed to make the man startled and immediately woke up from his sleep.

"What's the matter, Al? Has there been a fire?" Daffa asked looking around.

"What are you saying? Why are you even sleeping in my bed? Do you really intend to sully me Daffa? Twice you have taken advantage of opportunities in adversity to carry out your evil actions. Are you really not ashamed?" growled Almira with eyes reddened with anger.

After realizing what caused Almira to be angry, Daffa immediately leaned back in a relaxed style on the head of the bed. Don't forget, the man's hands are folded in front of his chest.

"Hey, why are you acting like you're innocent, Daffa? Have you lost your shame, huh?" snapped Almira really annoyed with her husband's behavior.

"Come on, Almira, if you want to be angry, try to look around you first! Did I snatch your bed or was it the other way around? And the matter of flirting, can't you see who's actually doing that? Just look at you, Almira! You are naked in front of me and offer a delicious breakfast for me to enjoy," said Daffa with a mocking look at Almira.

Hearing her husband's words, Almira immediately scanned the entire room. And sure enough if now he was in Daffa's bed. Don't forget to see how his body is now.

Almira's eyes immediately rounded perfectly when she realized that she was the only one wearing glasses and a Bermuda triangle. It's true what Daffa said that she was the one who seemed to be flirting with men.

Almira hastily took the blanket and wrapped it around her body. Sometimes he fell asleep and didn't have time to get dressed again, last night.

"Why is it even covered? I've seen and even memorized your curves! So, don't cover it up anymore because it won't do any good, Almira," Daffa pouted with a chuckle.

"Heh damn it! You yourself didn't intentionally wake me up so you can sleep in the same bed here, huh? You must also deliberately not let me get dressed again so you can enjoy the beauty of my body, right?" Almira snapped, getting even more furious at her husband.

Seeing Almira's anger, Daffa immediately chuckled. With one movement the man held Almira's body in his power.

"Come on, Almira, I'm your husband! Shouldn't I be allowed to enjoy the beauty of my own wife? I haven't eaten outside for a week and it's all because of you. I can't let other men taste mine while I have to keep playing with bitches to satisfy my cravings. It's better if I just keep you here so you don't take revenge and give my rights to someone else. Actually I'm tired of constantly fighting with you. Aren't you interested in trying that relationship?" Daffa asked looking into his wife's eyes.

"Why should I try that relationship? Is it so that you can also scratch the wound in my heart like Rian has done? Are you brothers so mean they want to play with my feelings? What did I do wrong to you guys? Why are you both playing with me? Have I ever hurt you?" Almira asked back in a choked voice holding back tears.

For some reason, hearing Daffa's words, Almira became very sad. It's as if Daffa wants to be in a relationship with him just to get to taste Almira.

Meanwhile, Daffa who received rejection from Almira, even compared to her sister, made her anger immediately provoked.

"Are you aware of what you said Almira? Should I reiterate to you that I'm not Rian? I'm Daffa, and only Daffa! Even though Rian and I are brothers and sisters, we are clearly different! I know you still love Rian but it's me who is your husband, not him! Are you so selfish that you always act as if you are the victim and I am the criminal? Why are you doing this to me too? Didn't I never force you to marry me? I'm just carrying out the wishes of our parents to cover the shame because of what your lover has done! If anyone has wronged you, it's Rian and not me!" Daffa said and then released her grip from Almira.

The man immediately got up and went into the bathroom. Leaving Almira who could only pensively with tears that involuntarily flowed down her cheeks.

"Does it have to be this painful with you guys? I know you are not at fault for my separation from Rian or about this marriage. However, the way you treat me like you treat your toys on the outside is just that. I admit that I haven't been able to forget Rian, but I have never compared you and him," Almira whispered in a choked voice holding back tears.

The woman immediately got out of bed and took her clothes from the closet. Truly this morning was the worst morning for her as a wife of Daffa.

It was the first time they had had a serious fight and for some reason, his heart really hurt more than anything else.

Meanwhile Daffa, who is now leaning behind the bathroom door, immediately rubbed her face roughly. Obviously he heard everything his wife said just now. It was he who seemed to have misunderstood, to think that Almira was comparing him to Rian.

Oh, I don't know. Daffa also doesn't understand how complicated the relationship she is with that woman is. Every day there must be something that causes them to not get along.

However, this was the first time they didn't really get along and it made a corner of Daffa's heart feel pinched.

Ah, looks like this morning Daffa has to lower her ego. Time for him to start trying this relationship with Almira. Hopefully, one year of their togetherness later, will foster a sense of not wanting to lose each other. So that their marriage will not end in such a short time.

Yes, I have to apologize to Almira. Let me lower my ego to take this relationship to the next level. I will get rid of all my bad habits, as long as Almira is willing to give this relationship a chance," Daffa muttered, determined to start their new relationship.

The man immediately turned around and opened the bathroom door.

"Sorry! Let's try this relationship."
