Chapter 28 - We're done!

Almira immediately jerked the person's arm roughly. Really, now he couldn't describe what he felt in his heart.

"Why are we talking, huh? It's all over Rian! We're done!" said Almira emphatically.

"No! Nothing ends between us! So, let's talk!"

Ignoring Almira's refusal, Rian forced the girl to get into the car. Incidentally, he had deliberately brought Livia's car to make it easy to walk anywhere without having to take a taxi.

"Are you okay, Rian? I don't want to talk to you!" annoyed Almira tried to get out of the car.

Rian didn't care at all, the man immediately stepped on the gas and left the office.

"Ryan, stop! Where do you want to take me?" asked Almira really annoyed at her ex-lover's behavior.

"Shut up, Al. We have to talk about everything. I do not want to lose you. Especially if you have to give up you for my brother," Rian answered without looking at the woman beside him.

"What else do you want to talk about? We're not in a relationship anymore! It was all over that day, Rian! The day you left me alone on the aisle!" growled Almira with a glint of anger and disappointment evident on her face.

Rian sighed then turned to Almira. Almira could see that there was a look of regret there. However, that still didn't lessen the annoyance in Almira's heart.

"It was my fault and I will fix everything. Please give me a chance to do that. I can't lose you, Almira," said Rian in a voice that was clearly holding back sadness.

"What do you want to fix? It's all over! We're done long ago, Rian! I don't want any more conversation between us! Now put me down! We don't need to say anything more!" demanded Almira angrily.

"No! I will not let you go until you agree to come back to me and leave Sis Daffa! I just want you back, Almira!" Rian refused really stubbornly.

"What are you still hoping for? I will never come back to you again! You have let me go and that means you have given up on me for good. Didn't you leave our marriage because of a mistress? Then why are you still chasing me too, Rian? You should have fun with your woman! Don't interfere with my life anymore. Until then, I won't want to come back!" said Almira, really couldn't stand Rian's sudden crazy behavior.

"We'll see, Almira! I'll make sure, you come back to me again. With or without your consent. I won't let you have the choice of refusing!" Rian snapped with an absolutely horrible look.

Seeing Rian's behavior, Almira suddenly rubbed the back of her neck, which was suddenly swollen.

"What do you want to do, Rian? Please don't do anything like that. Let's stop all this and live our own lives. Remember, now I'm no longer your lover but your sister-in-law. You shouldn't expect anything more from our relationship that has ended." said Almira trying to lower her emotions so that Rian wouldn't go too far.

"Not! I never recognized you as brother-in-law. You and I will only be husband and wife."

Hearing Rian's words, Almira rubbed her face roughly. She knew how selfish the man who had been her lover was. Almira only hoped that God would help her free from Rian's grip. Hopefully, the man who is now her sister-in-law, won't do anything rude to her later.

Meanwhile, Daffa, who was preparing to leave, was transfixed when she saw Almira's wallet that was left behind. Apparently, the woman didn't pay attention until she realized that her purse had fallen.

"Surely Almira will be confused when making payments later. I'd better propose to her first before meeting my friends at the bar," Daffa muttered then took his wife's wallet and left the room.

Daffa tried to contact Almira several times, but the woman did not pick up the call. Actually Daffa was quite annoyed but she also didn't want her wife to have to wash the dishes in the restaurant because she couldn't pay for the food.

Seeing from Almira's departure, Daffa was sure that the woman had just arrived at the office to pick up Violla. So he quickly drove his car to the office now, before Almira was embarrassed later.

"Why isn't Almira's cell phone being picked up, anyway? Doesn't he hear that I call him?" Daffa annoyed at his wife's behavior.

The man accelerated his car even more for fear that Almira and her best friend would rush away. He was afraid that later what he thought would actually happen to his wife.

After a while of racing along the fairly congested streets, Daffa finally arrived at her father-in-law's office.

His brow furrowed when he saw that almost everyone had left.

"Geez, is Almira really gone? Huft, I should just go inside. Who knows, even if I don't find Violla and Almira, I will get Violla's cell phone number." Daffa muttered because only Violla she could contact so she could talk to Almira.

The man immediately stepped into the office. Of course, his presence more or less seized the attention of several people who would indeed work overtime there.

"Erm, sorry. Is Violla home yet?" Daffa asked one of the passersby.

The person turned his head, then lowered his face when he knew that the person in front of him was Daffa Eldaz.

"Yes, sir. Maybe about ten minutes ago," he replied.

"Did he go with Almira earlier?" Daffa asked for sure.

"Erm, I do not know, sir. You see, I didn't get to see Miss Almira's whereabouts," he answered timidly.

Daffa nodded in understanding, thinking that Almira might be waiting for Violla outside.

"If so, do you have Violla's cell phone number? I can't contact my wife, maybe her cellphone has a problem." Daffa asked hoping the person in front of her had Violla's cell phone number.

"I happen to have one, sir," he answered, causing Daffa to breathe a sigh of relief.

"All right, I ask."

Daffa immediately asked for Violla's number after leaving the office to immediately follow his wife.

"What a hassle!" Daffa grumbled when she got to the car.

The man immediately fiddled with his cellphone to call Violla. Thankfully, on the first ring Violla immediately picked up the call from him.

"Hello, sorry who is this?" asked Violla as soon as the call was connected.

"This is Daffa, Almira's husband. I just wanted to ask you where are you now?" Daffa asked to the point.

"You? Who are you?" Violla asked like a daze.

"Yes, you and Almira. I just want to give Almira's wallet that I left at home. I'm just worried that you guys have to wash the dishes," Daffa explained, a little annoyed that Violla didn't even seem to understand who she meant.

"Sorry Sis Daffa, but I'm not with Almira. We had made an appointment to go out together. But Almira didn't come. Even chats and calls from me are ignored. I think he's still at home and um, he's busy with Daffa," said Violla, sounding low at the end of her words.

"Well, that's it. If Almira is not with you. Thank you," said Daffa, ending the call immediately.

"Did Almira stop by somewhere first? There's no way she'd lie to me. I know she's not that kind of woman even though we haven't been together that long," Daffa muttered really scared that Almira was in trouble.

Daffa was scared, Almira stopped by somewhere to buy something first and got into trouble there.

"Almira's cell phone is still active, which means I can track her whereabouts through it," Daffa muttered.

The man immediately fiddled with his cell phone. I don't know what he did with the flat object but what is clear is that he knows Almira's position.

After a moment of focusing on her cellphone, not long after that, a frown appeared on Daffa's forehead.

"It's …."
