Sophia took a deep breath as she stood before Alex's bedroom door. She felt slightly nervous knowing just how she and her sister had caused a nuisance in his house which she knew he preferred to be quiet and peaceful.
She drew another breath and raised her hand to knock on the door, but her hand stopped mid-air when the door was swung open from the inside, and she was staring at Alex who seemed like he had just freshened up and was about stepping out of his bedroom.
"Can I—" She paused.
"Can I talk to you, please." Sophia asked in a small voice, looking somewhat embarrassed.
"Sure," Alex said as he stepped out of his room and closed the door behind him.
"I was on my way to the patio, you can join me," He said and Sophia nodded as she trailed behind him while thinking of the best way to apologize for the little scene she and her sister had caused a while ago.
