Away from the patio, Sophia met Vanessa waiting for her by the dining, "Are you still upset?" Sophia asked as she walked closer to her.
"What did he say?" Vanessa asked without bothering to answer Sophia's question.
Sophia shrugged. "He said we can stay. Van..." She called as she moved closer and held her hand, "I know you are not happy about our living situation, and things are very hard for you because you feel responsible for me—"
"I'm responsible for you." Vanessa cut in and Sophia nodded before hugging her tightly.
"I know." Sophia sighed before pulling away but her hold around Vanessa's hand remained firm.
