He hadn't even made it to his room before he was summoned to the dining hall he just left escorted by several guards. The whole family was there and his father gave a great big sigh and sat back down. "Leave us." He commanded waving to the guards and servants. The rest of the family awkwardly sat back down, having just stood to see the Harnizians out.
There was a long uncomfortable silence finally broken by Princess Elise. "I really don't want to get married."
"Apparently neither does Donavin" His brother chuckled.
"Who is this someone else?" his mother asked.
"Like I said it's complicated, I had this plan, after the other peace delegation this fall. I was going to step down from the line of succession to-
"You what!?" his father boomed.
"Well… once peace is assured I won't really be needed, I -"
