Alexis' POV
The rays of light streaming through the window were the first thing that caught my eyes the moment they opened. Realizing I'd slept in late again, I shot to a sitting position, causing a bit of pain to shoot down my spine from how quickly I'd sat up. I groaned loudly and stared at the opened window, only to be presented with the busy morning streets outside. Another groan worked its way out of my mouth as I fell back into bed, closing my eyes to recall all that happened the previous night and why I was up so late.
