At noon, Emmy and Ellie had dinner in the pavilion. After dinner, she went shopping. Less than half an hour later, Emmy's cell phone rang. She thought it was true. She pressed the answer button without looking at the caller, but it was a woman's voice.
"Miss Emmy, is my car fixed yet?" car? She froze for a moment, and then remembered that she hit someone else's car before going to Paris. Her Audi a6 is still in the 4s shop.
"Sorry, Miss, I just came back from a business trip in Paris, and I haven't entered a car dealership yet, so I don't know how the car is." Emmy said truthfully.
"I'll go to the 4S shop tomorrow, and I'll call you when I fix it."
"Oh well, I guess I can use the car..." She looked helpless on the other end of the phone. She apologized repeatedly before hanging up the phone. After the phone call with her ended, she was about to put away the phone when it rang again. She thought it was her calling again. She hit the answer button and said,
"It's useless to urge me, I'm not..."
"Emmy, who urged you?" There came a voice that heard people really smiling:
"Who are you talking to?"
"Oh, is that you?" She came back to his senses, and said with a little embarrassment, "I just got off the phone with the woman I hit. She rushed me to get the car. I'm not a 4S shop mechanic."
"Then leave her alone and let her rush to the 4S shop by herself." It is true that people say, "By the way, I just received a call from the police station, saying that the driver of your father's car accident has clues. I think the two people will be recovered soon."
"Really?" She shouted excitedly.
"Of course it's true," James said with a smile on the other end of the phone,
"Can what the police say be false? I'm calling to ask you to comfort your father and tell him not to worry. Things will pass."
"Yeah, I'll call Dad later."
What did she think of when he said this, and asked quickly, "By the way, where is he? When will the case between me and him start?"
"The case between you and he is probably still early. Your grandma invested in another building at that time. it is not willing to cooperate now. After all, not everyone is willing to do such a thing as face-slapping." When he said this, he quickly comforted her.
"But don't worry, there will be an explanation sooner or later. Now he probably thinks that Cassie can save him. I will find a way to tell him about Cassie..."
"Well, well, I'm not in a hurry, anyway, he's already been arrested, so I don't believe he can come back." She said quickly.
"Yes, yes, just wait and see." On the other end of the phone, he quickly changed the subject. "Mom said to make soup for you tonight, go back early when you're tired from shopping, and don't walk for too long, or your feet will hurt again."
"Okay, I see, I'll be back in a while..." She talked to him again and hung up the phone. "Oh, I see that the relationship between you and him is progressing very quickly. It's really thoughtful to make a phone call." Ellie said jokingly with a smile.
Emmy blushed slightly.

After walking out of the inpatient building, Emmy took a deep breath to calm down the anger and sullenness in her chest. She took a step forward and bumped into someone. She took a quick step back. "Yes..." Before she finished speaking, she looked up and saw that the person she bumped into was Shawn.
"Why are you here?" she frowned, and instinctively took a step back. "What do you mean by me?" He smiled deeply.
"It's me, okay?"
"By the way, why did you come to the hospital? What's the matter?" He took the lead in caring about her body. "Are you still injured in Paris?"
"No, mom is sick, I'm here to see," Emmy explained and did not politely ask him why he came to the hospital. "Really? You treat your stepmother so well?" he obviously didn't believe it. She was too lazy to make him believe in herself, so she nodded slightly.
"Shawn, then you should be busy, I'll go first."
"Emmy, I sprained my ankle, can you help me drive?" He stopped her suddenly. She turned around in surprise and looked at him who was limping and his ankle was covered with ointment. Looks like he literally sprained it.
"I am a voluntary woman, you prefer to call me Mrs James." She said to him indifferently. "Mrs James?" he smiled. "You and he didn't seem to have a wedding, right? James didn't announce their marriage publicly either."
"Not having a wedding doesn't mean we're not husband and wife, can't we get a certificate?" She retorted lightly. "Who is idle and has nothing to do, and uses a loudspeaker to promote their marriage all day, so who is his wife?" he choked on the dust.
She ignored him and turned to leave, but was stopped by him again. "Mrs James, I really sprained my foot, can you help me drive?" his voice came with a voice of request. She turned around and was about to say no when he said: "I'm in a hurry to go back to the meeting, and the assistant is too late now, can you do me a favour?"
"No!" she refused without thinking.
"Why?" he did not expect that she would refuse so thoroughly. "First, it has nothing to do with me when you have a meeting. You can't earn half of my money. Second, I don't believe in your character. Who knows what will happen if I get in your car?"
She did not forget that it was he who cooperated with Cassie and almost got her and him deeply engaged. "Can't you trust your character?" Seeing this, he frowned.
