After digesting all the info Louis fell into deep thought….
It seems you get 7.5 unallocated points each level. So it should be 1.5 points for each stat except for luck. Now that I have quite a lot of points, if I invest in intelligence it will be quite helpful for my new class. Afterall necromancers need a lot of mana. But I guess it won't be too late to invest after I get the class first.
I also checked the grand opening event. It seems except for double exp and drop rate there is also extra event that gives some points for doing quests. Points are given based on quest difficulty. There will be ranking based on these points. Grand opening event is a 3 days event. After the event ends the ones who rank in top 10 will get special reward and others can spend their points in the event shop. It seems I have to start doing a quest from now on.
Suddenly I heard a creaking sound from inside the shrine. The door of the shrine was pushed open slowly and an old man came out. The old man looked like a dried shrimp with only his bones left. His face looked hideous, his hands were shaking, he was barely standing with the help of a staff that looked like it was made from some kind of tree branch.
He parted his dried lips and said in a hoarse voice as if he hadn't drunk water for ages, "There seems to be some guests here."
I stepped forward and respectfully said, "Greetings sir." I knew he was the way for me to get necromancer class. So I had to show some courtesy.
But all of a sudden Maxwell and his team tensed up and brandished their weapon.
I was flabbergasted. Hey hey what are you doing? Pointing your weapon against a weak old man?
"Maxwell what are you doing? Calm down." I tried to smooth the situation.
But Maxwell was trembling and only muttered 2 words, "High priest!"
High priest?? Even though I don't know everything about high priests, I know a little. They are top level people of darkness shrines and there are very few of them. And as far as I know they most of the time stay in darkness shrine's headquarter. As a result I never met them in Fantasia as they didn't update the content of the darkness shrine's headquarters. But why is a high priest here?
Just as I was being lost in thoughts the high priest said, "Come inside." Saying so he walked inside.
"You guys stay here." I told Maxwell and walked toward the door of the shrine. I have come so far, I can't go back now can I?
Lili said, "How are we supposed to protect you if you go inside alone?"
"Don't worry I will be back soon. If he wanted to attack us none of us would be alive. As he invited us in, let's see what there is to it."
Inside of the shrine was dark. There was only a large vessel at the end of the hall which was lit up. Purple flames were burning inside the vessel. But the high priest is nowhere to be found. I walked around and came in front of the vessel. There were many strange patterns on it giving off an ominous feeling. A voice came from behind the large vessel.
"This is the first time a blessed person has come to my darkness shrine. Say blessed child, what do you want?"
Old man walked from behind the vessel and came in front of me, still shaking while walking. I just wonder how such a fragile old man can be a high priest, an end game character. Anyway I looked into his eyes with determination and said, "I want power. The power of the dead"
"Why do you think you need power?"
"To bring back the glory of the darkness shrine!" In Fantasia, the Darkness shrine was in decline and there were few shrines left. The balance between Darkness shrine and Temple of brilliance has been broken. So the darkness shrine was trying hard to survive. As the world view of both Fantasia and i-Meta is similar. It should be similar as well. So I tried to flatter him a bit.
But he coldly looked at me and said hoarsely, "There is no need to flatter me. Instead tell truthfully why you desire more power."
"It's for fun," I muttered to myself. I am just here to get my desired class and enjoy the game. But how can I say it out loud?
"For fun?" the high priest looked at me.
The fuck! He actually heard it?? What should I do now?
Before I could think of anything the old high priest started laughing with his hoarse voice which was extremely ugly to hear.
"Hahaha, for fun? Interesting, interesting. You really are suitable for our darkness shrine. Hahahah" He kept laughing.
"Come worship the god of darkness and he will bestow you with power." the high priest said.
I was confused what to do but the high priest instructed, "Put your hand in the vessel"
So I followed his instructions and put my hand into the vessel. Hot burning feeling ran through my hand and suddenly a notification sound came.
