*Bang*
The clash between Sirah and Druak had finally begun, their blades striking against one another, shards of ice flying everywhere.
It was clear that Sirah had a much better physique as she was far stronger and more agile than Druak, probably due to Druak being in a coma not that long ago. Sirah was flying throughout the arena continuously striking Druak and replacing her blades whenever they broke.
Druak however didn't seem to be any weaker than Sirah despite this disadvantage, this was thanks to Druaks experience in countless battles in his previous life. Druaks untrained yet much more efficient movements had allowed him to block the majority of Sirah's attacks, even managing to land some strikes himself, despite the disparity in their speed.
Druak had no choice but to stand in place as Sirah continued to dash at him, attempting to strike at any opening. It was clear Sirah was getting frustrated at her attacks, constantly getting blocked, as she began to become more and more reckless with her attacks.
Sirah continued to throw ice daggers toward Druak, some even managing to catch Druak slightly off guard. Noticing that she was starting to calm down again and become less reckless Druak decided to taunt her." This the best you got, can't even beat me without using these tricks."
It seemed to work. Her expression became much more serious as she charged straight toward him, both of her ice daggers in hand. Sirah was incredibly prideful so when it came to getting told that her attacks were tricks, she couldn't help but be annoyed.
Druak saw how reckless she was and noticed an opportunity. Slamming his blade straight down, Druak smashed Sirahs weapons to pieces. Sending shards of ice everywhere.
Sirah was shocked as she saw her blades shattered before her, but unexpectedly regained her cool and continued her assault on Druak, as she knew if she didn't it could result in her loss.
Druak was surprised, but after seeing the resolve in Sirahs eyes knew that she had no plans of giving up.
Sirah began to summon ice magic into her palm but Druaks blade was closing in on her head and was far closer. Both attacks struck their opponents. Druak was sent flying as ice surrounded his chest. Sirah however was out of sight, as a cold mist had surrounded where she once was.
Druak seemed to lift his hand up as a small magic circle appeared before him, slowly dispersing the fog and revealing Sirah, which now lay on the ground.
Drawing the battle Druak had quickly dropped his blade, allowing him to cast his ice fog spell, and in the process, he caught his blade in his other hand.
Using the mist as cover Druak managed to block Sirahs vision, this had two effects: one was that it made her strike inaccurate and allowed Druak to sustain far less damage, and the other was that it allowed Druak to strike Sirah's least defended location which inevitably knocked her unconscious.
The arena was covered in cracks from the battle which had taken place, and one of the largest cracks was at the location where Druak had landed.
Gradually Druak began to stumble to his feet, groans of pain escaping his mouth due to the pain he felt from his ice-covered chest.
Druak slowly began to approach the location where Sirah had fallen.
'She really is something. She even managed to fight and injure me, which has 10 years more experience.'
Druak looked down at the small young girl that no longer had her blue hair in the way of her face, and after finally being able to see her full face Druak could not believe he mistook her for a boy, as she had one of the most beautiful faces Druak had ever seen.
Slightly bashful, Druak looked away and put his hand on his face as it began to glow slightly red. However, after a moment Druak recalled why he was there.
'Idiot. Stop thinking about such things when she is clearly injured.'
Druak shook his face, as he knew that he needed to focus on treating Sirah. His face lost its bright red colour and Druaks express dropped, as he became far more serious.
The first thing Druak did was examine the location which he had struck, which was Sirahs waist. Slowly he moved some of her skin-tight clothes, revealing Sirahs delicate pale skin, which looked as smooth as the softest silks.
Druak looked at the only imperfection on Sirahs skin, the bruise which he himself had caused. It was clear that the wound was serious as Druak could see that the wound was bleeding under the skin, which had also caused the bruise to start to swell.
Quickly Druak applied a small amount of ice magic onto the bruise to prevent the swelling, trying not to use too much magic as it could cause more damage and make it far worse.
After Druak had managed to stabilise Sirah he had realised something, Sirah was almost as reckless as him when it came to fighting yet she didn't have a single scar on her body, in fact, her skin was so perfect that it looked as if she had never fought a day in her life.
Druak began to think that whoever Sirah was, she definitely wasn't an ordinary commoner like him. Druak wasn't too worried though, since she didn't seem to have any ill intent towards him and it was unlikely she had any reason to target him in the first place.
After a few hours passed Sirah began to open her eyes, which to start with only allowed her to see a blurry image of what was around her, but after a few seconds, she began to regain her sight.
The first thing she saw was Druak who smiled and said."We should probably be a bit more careful next time we fight. I don't want to carry you to safety every time we fight."
It took Sirah a few seconds to process what Druak had said but she quickly shot up and looked around herself.
"Damn it. I lost. And I was so sure that I would win." She looked towards Druak."I'm gonna beat you next time we fight so don't you dare hold back." It seemed that Sirah had completely ignored Druaks suggesting to be more careful during fights.
Sirah was the type of person that hated losing, but more than that she hated when people held back on her. It was just the kind of person she was.
Druak looked at Sirah and let out a sigh." Hhhh." he then got up from where he was sitting, which was next to Sirah."Let's go. We'll be late for the acceptance ceremony if we stay here any longer."
Sirah got up chasing after Druak and punched him on the shoulder."Hey… You never answered me… You'll have a rematch with me right…..
Sirah continued nagging about a rematch as they walked towards the acceptance ceremony.
