The acceptance ceremony was taking place within an enormous hall that was only ever used for special events, such as the acceptance ceremony.
Druak and Sirah had finally reached the entrance of the hall, which was a door with an intricately designed Griffon head as the doorknob. As they approached the door to head inside they began to notice something strange, all the students who passed didn't seem to be wearing their uniforms, but instead wore dresses or suits.
Despite the noble students laughing whenever they crossed paths with Druak and Sirah, Druak didn't think much of this and just thought these students weren't following the school rules.
As Druak opened the entrance to the hall he realised just how enormous the academy was.
"How much money does this academy have." Druak couldn't help but mutter under his breath. Druak was too distracted by the extravagance of the hall that he hadn't noticed Sirahs expression, which looked as if she wanted to murder someone.
As Druak looked around his curiosity piqued. Druak could now see just how impressive the academy was and how much knowledge he had missed out on in his past life. Instantly after entering the most significant thing about the hall was the black crystals which seemed to be used to hold up the second floor of the hall.
Not able to hold in his curiosity Druak rushed over, to get a closer look at them, and after being almost directly in front of them something became clear to Druak.
"Wait these are the same runic inscriptions which were on that gate me and Isacc saw at the Volcanic Isles." As if a bolt of lightning struck Druaks head he suddenly realised something.
"So this black rock is like a conductor for those runes which allows objects like the lava bridge to float…" As Druak was busy muttering away Sirah decided to punch him on the shoulder, which she always did whenever she wanted his attention.
"Oi. Druak you gonna keep muttering away and acting like a geek or you gonna actually enjoy this event." Sirah was beginning to get bored and wanted to go exploring before the teachers started making their boring speeches and ruining the rest of the event.
Still staring at the runes Druak murmured."Yeah. Yeah. Give me a secon…" But before Druak could finish his sentence, Sirah had already dragged him away to go exploring.
When Druak and Sirah first entered the hall they didn't realise straight away as Druak went straight to the runic inscriptions and Sirah was too busy trying to follow him, but now that they were having a proper look they realised something… This was more like a ball than an acceptance ceremony.
All of this seemed to be planned out specifically for the nobles. Druak came to this conclusion after observing the students. The first thing Druak noticed was every single commoner was in their uniform, yet not a single noble wore their uniform, this meant that someone only disclosed information about appropriate clothing to the nobles and ignored all the commoners.
'It seems this whole thing was set up just to make fun of the commoners that managed to pass the entrance exam.' Wearing a uniform instead of a dresser or suit may seem like nothing serious but within this continent, the nobles would find any way to ostracise anyone that wasn't a noble themself.
Unlike most of the commoners within the hall, who seemed to plan on hiding in the corners of the hall till the end of the event. Druak had no plans to do so as he would not all the academy to do what they wanted, which was clearly to make the commoners feel so inferior compared to the nobles that they'd regret ever coming to the academy.
'I know Isaac told me that this academy hated commoners, but this is way worse than I thought… It's as if they don't even want commoners within it, but why do they allow them to apply in the first place then.'
Druak smiled ever so slightly and turned towards Sirah, putting his mouth towards her ear, and began to whisper something to her. At first, her face went slightly rosey but after realising Druaks intent Sirahs face became serious as she listened in on what he had to say, nodding when he finished speaking.
Both Druak and Sirah began to pridefully walk through the hall as if the noble students didn't even exist. Some nobles had been laughing at them at first but after being ignored and not getting a response soon began to get frustrated.
"Look at those two. They're dressed like that and still dare to act so arrogantly."
"They're just commoners, how dare they ignore us nobles. Someone should teach them a lesson." And as if the gods heard his wishes, someone did indeed start heading towards Druak and Sirah.
Strutting toward them was an incredibly large and fat student, who wore a black suit embroidered with gold.
As this man, if he could even be called that, approached Druak and Sirah, he puffed out his chest which had his family crest on it, and flicked his short blonde hair back.
"You're one of those peasants that somehow managed to get into the academy right." The man looked Sirah up and down with lustful eyes, which sent a shiver down her spine."I still have some places for servants, I'll even let this peasant man be a manserv….."
Druak not even letting the noble finish speaking, walked away as if he hadn't heard a word that was said. Sirah followed closely behind, her disgusted expression slowly disappearing after not having to look at such a despicable noble.
As they slowly walked away almost all the nobles were in shock, as their expression completely dropped, some even dropping their glasses.
There were two main reasons for this: first was that nobles considered it an honour for a commoner to join their family even as a servant and the commoner should feel honoured by such an offer. The second reason was that despite his appearance this noble was in fact a member of an incredibly high-ranked noble family that could crush almost anyone that stood in their way.
"You....
