On her way to her department, Yasmin looked timidly around the campus to see if Caleb was nearby. There was no sign of him. It made her wonder if he had not come to college.
'I shouldn't care about it.'
She lowered her head and quickened her steps. As she walked into the locker room, she spotted Lisa, who was keeping her stuff in her locker. She smiled and waved, but Lisa kept staring at her, not even bothering to wave back.
Under her steady, piercing gaze, Yasmin felt uneasy. She curled her fingers and dropped her hand to her side, her smile fading.
Yasmin was sad as she watched her leave. Her best friend was not talking to her. The college where she used to enjoy going had become tedious. The lectures were also tiresome.
She felt lonely amidst the crowd. She didn't like to stay here for a second and thought of going to the yard. Then she remembered the incident of the day before.
