Declan jammed on the spot in shock. He was having difficulty believing what he was seeing. He quickly changed his demeanor and pretended not to notice.
He shifted his gaze to the phone and began scrolling through the messages. However, he didn't read a word. His mind was on Tina. He couldn't stop himself from sneaking a peek at her. He noticed her slipping something into her purse this time.
He was certain that Tina was trying to drug him. He couldn't believe that she could stoop so low to get him back. It was beyond shocking.
He was not aware that he had not been inhaling for the past few seconds.
'Why, Tina?'
He clutched the phone, directing his gaze to the outside. His face was dark. Self-deprecation overwhelmed him.
He began to despise himself for loving her once, for thinking she was everything to him.
"Your coffee is getting cold," Tina reminded him.
