"It seems like you know a lot about parallel worlds. Do you know if there's any possibility of me going back to my world?" Xin asked.
"Possibility you say? It's impossible when you didn't even know what brought you here. There could be someone who has the power to communicate with the time Master, and perhaps the time Master switched you and my brother to be in different worlds. But I don't know if that's true." Xinny replied.
"A Time Master?? Is it an human or what."
"He is Time himself. He could control the time and has full access to different worlds in the universe. He is the one who allowed the first humans who are our scientist to travel into parallel worlds." Xinny said.
"Wow, that sounds like a real time Master. I wish we could meet him. Or do you know where I can find him? I need to get the hell out of here." Xin said.
Xinny paused for a while as he stared directly into Xin's eyes.
"Even if I wanted to help you, what you said now made me change my mind. Not to talk of the danger we are going to face on our way there. I can't tell you where it is. If it where my brother, he would understand better." Xinny said as she made her way to the door exit.
"Wait, wait wait!" Xin shouted, trying to stop her from going outside.
"What?"
"I will do anything you want me to do. Even if it is to pretend that I'm your brother, I will do it."
"No, you said you need to get the hell out of here. Why don't you head back to your world on your own. You wouldn't be needing me."
Xinny held the door's handle but Xinny had quickly stopped her from opening the door.
"I promise, I'll do anything you want me to do." Xin said.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm Damn so sure."
"Pinky swear you're gonna do everything I ask you to do." Xinny pointed her pinky finger at xin.
"That's kids thing, do you do such with your brother." Xin said as he did his own pinky swear.
"Rule number one, you're now Xin, so don't ask me questions about my brother." Xinny replied.
"Before now I'm Xin and I'll still be Xin."
Xinny hissed before replying Xin. "I mean my own brother, Xin. You need to pretend to be my brother, so, asking questions about my brother is out of the question. Don't ask if I and my brother still do pinky swear or not. It's none of your business."
"But how do I know what your brother likes and what he do not. I don't know who your parents are, their attitudes or what things you do." Xin complained.
Xinny heaved heavily before talking again.
"I should have told you earlier. Have a seat, I'll tell you everything you need to know." Xinny said.
The duo sat on the bed but they made sure to keep a few metres away from each other. Xin was in a patient gown while Xinny wore a school uniform whose shirt is white and had a brown mini skirt with black stripes decorated on it. Xin could see that she was a student but she wondered if her brother 'Xin' was also going to school.
"I'll start from our parents. We didn't get to know anyone of them, nor do we know who our siblings are. But we were given a name. So we lived in an orphanage house ever since we were baby and after ten years, we were adopted by these couples who acts like morons." Xinny explained.
"I saw that the female one was begging, did she do something bad to your brother that caused him to be hospitalized?" Xin blurted out.
"She's a devil. Well, she's not at fault, my brother is. He hate these couples like hell so he provokes them a lot. Until one day, the female couple got angry and had used her lightning ability to shock my brother. Ever since then, he went into coma and never woke up till you came around. I thought my brother had woken up when the quack doctor told us that you opened your eyes, unknown to me that it's my brother other self." Xinny said, amidst tears.
Xin felt bad and had moved closer to Pat Xinny on the back. "I'm sorry, it's my fault that I came instead of him. I'll find a way to bring back your brother, I promise." Xin said.
"Xin. What if he's in your kingdom, in your palace. What would happen to him? He won't suffer, would he?" Xinny inquired.
"No, he's going to be taken care of. He would become the prince in my stead and my sister Xinny would take good care of him. She's the kindest girl I've ever seen." Xin said.
"My brother is also the kindest guy I've ever met." Xinny said, rolling her eyes at Xin who instantly burst into laughter.
"What's funny, why are you laughing?" Xinny said.
"You. Why are you jealous of my sister." Xin abruptly said before realizing what he said. "I'm sorry about that."
"It's okay. I'm a bit jealous as you said." Xinny said and the two laughed loudly again.
"I need to ask this. How do you know that I'm from another world. Is there something you saw that made you think that I'm not from this world?" Xin asked, his eyes fixed on Xinny's little face.
Xinny shifted her gaze at Xin, her eyes glowing up as her shoulders were lifted a bit higher.
A smile suddenly appeared on Xinny's face and Xin could see the red blush of her face.
"Actually, I love discovering scientific things, so you could call me a researcher. I read a book and found this mark drawn on someone's body, just like you have on your chest." Xinny said as she pointed at the red coloured mark that was on Xin's chest. Xin wasn't wearing any shirt, so his chest was visible to Xinny.
"According to the book, those who have this mark are able to travel between worlds, so I came into conclusion that you might be from another world." Xinny explained.
' Mother told me something about this mark but what does it have to do with their deaths.' Xin thought as he closed his eyes for a second before opening it again to ask Xinny a question.
"Xinny, do you still have this book?" Xin asked.
"No." Xinny replied bluntly. "It was burnt by my foster parents."
Xin heaved heavily, trying to stop himself from thinking about his parents' death.
"So, what's this ability thing about? The lightning and all that, is it something I can learn??" Xin tried to change the subject.
"Yes, everyone is told to learn an ability for the war that's going on between us and Aliens. We are winning but the aliens keeps on evolving and their population are growing faster than the humans. So we're all told to learn abilities and our parents are encouraged to bore more children so we could be at par level with the Aliens. We may be outnumbered but we would be enough to fight the Aliens."
"So you learn these abilities to fight the so called Aliens?" Xin asked.
"Yes. If not because of my brother who went into coma, the two of us would have been in school now. We aren't allowed to leave the military Academy not until we finish our One year training. Today is the last day they gave me to visit you. But I'm glad that at least someone who looks like my brother is awake. We would go to school together and I'll explain everything Xin does to you. Come on, dress up let's go." Xinny replied.
