Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven: Ability Found.

Due to the War between Humans and the Aliens, every person when they reached the age of 16 was required to go to military school for two years. Everyone knew the importance of being trained in the military school, because the peaceful period they are in wouldn't last forever.

Every day there was news of one race clashing the other and humans knew that war is approaching them all. So the need to learn abilities and get stronger is highly appreciated by everyone. Even if you don't want an ability, by the time you started seeing your friends being promoted to an high position or when they get praised by everyone in your presence, you wouldn't know when you'll start begging to learn an ability.

As soon as Xin got down from the bus, he was amazed at what he was seeing. They were currently in a city like they had never seen before. Everyone was dressed up in military uniform of different colours and there are technology and machines around them that was too advanced for the present humans. Xin could see giant cyborgs and robots moving around, doing what seems impossible for an human to do.

Xin could also see flying ships, space Jets and war drones flying around. It was a technology that hadn't been introduced to the outside world yet and was kept for the military use only.

According to Xinny, after the first war with the Aliens, humans had managed to make progress in technological advancement. The equipment that were taken as spoils of war from the aliens were studied and after taking a reverse creation of the equipments, Humans were now able to create clones of the equipments and thanks to Desmond Elliot again, he gave them more Information on how these types of equipments could be made. It is a wonder how he knew things like this. It was like he was born a technology god. Some even called him a god of war.

When Xin finally stopped being amazed at his surroundings, he noticed that there was something placed around Xinny's neck. It looked similar to a dog collar but it wasn't a dog collar, it is made of iron and on the iron collar there was something displayed on it. A red number two was displayed across the collar.

Suddenly, one of the soldiers had moved closer to Xin and the iron collar was placed on his neck.

"That there on your neck is your lifeline. It will identify you as a student at this military base. It will allow you to access some specific areas, pay for food and other things. It is your lifeline at this academy. That isn't the only thing that it will display though. It will also display a number and that number is the power level of your ability." Xinny explained.

"But I don't have any ability, what do I do?" Xin whispered quietly.

"Don't worry, as long as you have a strong body, you should be able to learn any type of ability. My brother wasn't able to learn any ability due to how weak his body was. He wasn't registered as a student who have an ability. I just hope you would do well in the power level test. You need an ability to survive in this school." Xinny explained.

"I won't fail you." Xin said with a smile on his face.

"You better don't or you're dead." Xinny smirked.

As soon as Xin heard those words, he gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

Xinny faced the sergeant who had brought them. "I would want Xin to take the power level test again. It seems like his body had become quite stronger than before." Xinny replied.

"Sure, we'll start the test immediately at the testing center." The sergeant replied.

"Tell me more about this power level thing." Xin requested from Xinny.

"Okay." Xinny replied "When abilities were first introduced to the human race, people quickly learned that some were far more powerful than others. With this came the introduction of the power level system. There are a total of 10 different power levels. 1 being the weakest and 10 being the strongest. These levels are divided into 1, 2, 3 all the way to 10, although only the strongest could surpass the 10th level."

"You mean, no one ever passed the level ten?" Xin asked.

"None that I heard about. If anyone surpasses the level ten, it means he's not human anymore. Probably a superhuman or someone of a different race."

Xin and Xinny were taken inside a room and in this room were several machines and robots that aid the power level test. There is a scanning machine whose feature is to scan the total Mutant cell in an individual, and also to give record of the type of ability that the person could learn. The reason is that not all people has a strong body and if they learn an ability, they may be stuck to level one or the cells of their body might explode.

Xin was told to place his two hands on the scanner machine and as he did that, two beeping sounds could be heard coming from the machine, signifying that Xin's MC has been recorded.

"Please wait while the results are being processed." One of the sergeants who had followed the duo said.

A minute or two, a robot had came to hand the results to the sergeant who had spoken previously. After the robot gave the sergeant the results of the test, the sergeant then gave it to Xinny. But Xinny noticed the confused look on the Sergeant's face.

"It seems like your brother had improved a lot from the last time he took the exam. But something is not right, see for yourself."

As Xinny took the white sheet paper from the sergeant, her mouth was opened wide at was she was seeing.

"MC: 200, Capable of learning any type of Ability."

"Ability found, can't learn any other ability."

"Unable to detect the type of ability that the user have."
