You know, majority of people doesn't believe that Parallel worlds could exist. Yeah, you dare not mention it in our kingdom or you'll be treated for a psychiatric illness. That made a lot of people in our kingdom think that it truly doesn't exists. They even set a rule that anyone who speaks of this should be starved for three days. Even though they set the rule, that didn't stop me from searching through books that such exists. I had even made the matter worse by asking a question related to it in our physics class.
"Yes your highness." The teacher said as he saw me raising my hands for a question.
I could hear a lot of grunting and murmuring from the other kids but I didn't feel ashamed of what I was going to say.
"Mr Gabby, yesterday evening, I was reading a planet book talking about universes and worlds but there was something I read that kept me puzzled." I picked up my small notebook where I took records of things I read.
"And there was a stop in time, darkness filled both worlds but only those with the mark could walk at that moment."
As I read this part, suddenly I noticed that my teacher's mouth was opened wide and the students who were talking and murmuring within themselves, were unmoving. What made me jerked backwards was when I saw our class time clock not tickling.
I ran towards a student and slapped her face but she gave no remark of pain or anything. I even punched the class bully in the stomach yet he didn't flinch.
I was confused and knew not what to do. At that moment, I saw that the skies were turning black and darkness started creeping in. I hurriedly went towards the window to have a proper view. And then, far away from where I am, at the back of the palace, I could see a bright light shining for about six seconds before going dark.
"What is happening?" I said confusingly.
And at that moment, everything went back to normal, there was no stop in time and people were moving all again. I was able to see this changes because our class is being held on the highest building of our kingdom. The Erica Kingdom.
"Your highness, I can't answer such questions. As the rule of this kingdom had proclaimed, we are forbidden to talk about things like that." The teacher said but as he look at where I was sitting, he jumped up in fear. "Your highness?!"
I turned to the class from where I was standing at the window and answered him.
"I'm here."
"What? When did you get to the window your highness?" The teacher said and the students who had their eyes on me all the time but had saw me at the window, were also confused.
"How did he get there?"
"Don't you know? Time just stopped." I said and the whole class started laughing.
"Guys, you've got to believe me. Time just stopped." I then looked at our class bully who was holding onto his stomach and had a frown on his face. "Chris, you're feeling pain on your stomach, aren't you?"
I asked Chris this question and he just nodded his head slightly.
"I punched you in the stomach when time stopped."
I turned to ask the other student that I slapped on the face. She was a female that I had always wanted to slap due to her rude behaviour towards me. "Lilian, you're feeling itchy on your cheek right?" I asked and she was just looking at me as if I saw her nakedness and wanted to report this to the whole class.
"I also slapped your face when the time stopped." I replied and surprisingly, the whole class went silent.
There was a knock on the door of our classroom and my personal guard who is the head of all the palace guards came in. He then talked silently to the teacher who nodded his head and talked silently back to the guard.
After that, my personal guard came towards me and said that my father, the king wants me to come to the palace because of some reasons.
I picked up my backpack while my personal guard (p.g) carried my lunch bag.
He would have carried my backpack but he knew that I wouldn't allow him. My backpack is so precious to me because it contains different types of materials and items that may come in handy during danger time or if I was to perform an experiment.
I am a sixteen year old kid whose thought are to prove formulas and discovery that scientists have made in the past and share them to the world so they could believe. Out of the things I planned to prove to be true was the Parallel world that was discovered by a scientist called Darwin Junior.
And even though my father, the king was strict, he still allowed me to continue with the discovery and experiments that I'm making and frequently encourages me to keep on doing it, that I would make a fine king in the future.
On our way to the palace, I was seated at the back of my father's car. Actually the car was dedicated to me to use as a means of transport. But since I wasn't up to eighteen years of age, I wasn't allowed to drive my car. Even if I was 18, my father won't allow me to drive myself. The King, the queen, the prince and the princess are not allowed to drive themselves. It is a royal order that a guard must drive the royal families.
As our car entered through the palace gates, I saw that a man was being held as captive by the guards even though he was struggling to set himself free.
"Who is that guy?" I asked my P.G
"He is a captive who had no record of existence in our kingdom." The guard answered.
"What do you mean?" I asked him again.
"He is not someone from this world."
