Jacob's POV
" Hey bro, what's up? ", read my best friend's message.
" Nothing. Just passing time. ", I replied, not wanting to tell him anything unless I get the facts clear.
" Why are you not asleep yet? "
" Then why are you not? ", I asked instead of answering, not wanting to lie to him.
" Ha.... You got me. I was just bored and was not able to sleep. ", he replied and I knew he was lying to me.
I gave a frustrated sigh wondering why is everyone doing this to me. I got so frustrated that I punched my table which led to things kept on it, bounce.
" Did you fight with your parents again? ", I asked, clearing showing that I knew what was going on.
He read the message but did not reply. I was waiting for him to answer when my phone started ringing.
It was call from my best friend and the moment I picked it up, came his annoying voice.
" How did you know that? ", he asked, confirming my claim.
