"As an apology for the Salty meal you cooked, don't you think I deserve compensation?" He smirked.
" Com— compensation?" I blinked in surprise. "For what?"
I took a very deep breath, but that was a mistake. It made me take in his sweet, musky scent.
" For the food you gave me. " He leaned closer, that deadly smirk still on his face as he did so.
" I—" I swallow.
My heart picked up the pace at both his proximity and the words he was speaking.
I know I wanted him to give his entire attention to me, but now he has done it, I don't know what to feel anymore.
"It's not all that much." He raised a brow, his smirk much more pronounced.
"Not much? What are you talking about?"
"I only need one thing from you." As he talked, he continued to lean over, until our noses touched.
"Can you—" I tried to push him off me, but he held on tightly.
"All I want is—"
"Look out!" I shouted in alarm.
"What?" Releasing me from his hold, he expertly had me behind him, as he sought what might have caused me to shout.
Smirking to myself, I take a step back, distancing myself from him.
"Where's it?" He turned to me in question.
But instead of being at his back like he expected, he found me close to the door, a notable smirk on my face.
"Good luck searching for it." I ran out of the dining before he thinks about what else to do.
" Not so fast, love. "
I yelped in surprise when he caught up to me.
"What—"
My words got stuck in my throat when he pinned me to the wall.
"You can't outrun me, love. You know that, but you never seem to understand." He whispered lowly, his breath on my exposed neck, caused me to shiver.
" It's—" I swallow as all thoughts escaped my mind.
"What's it, love? What are you saying?" He leaned closer to me.
" I—" I unconsciously licked my lips.
"What's wrong? Having trouble talking? " He sniffed my neck.
I shiver some more.
His breath on me made me feel— excited?
I can't actually tell.
"Stop that."
"Stop what darling? You need to speak up, I can't hear you." He leaned closer as he said those words. This time, I can tell he's knowingly doing all this to get a rise or something from me.
"You know what—" A groan escaped my throat. I felt hurt all of a sudden. It made me want to tug my hair in frustration at the unfamiliar feeling.
Just what's wrong with me?
"I love how flushed your cheeks are. It makes me intend to do unimaginable things to your body." He breathes, but still kept a distance between us.
From the way he's acting, I can tell he doesn't intend to close the distance between us.
"Please," I wriggle when I felt uncomfortable all of a sudden.
"Please what love?" He leaned closer, breathes on my neck, and straightened. "I think I'll go and finish the food like that. I don't think I can make any meal tonight."
He turned, planning to walk back to the kitchen.
No, you dare not.
"Not so fast," taking hold of his hand, I change our position.
"What's it?" He raised a bored brow.
"Nothing," I leaned closer to him, "I was just trying to check on a mark I saw on your neck."
I sniff his neck, "Hmm mm," I breathe out, "what Cologne do you make use of?"
"It's— That's my natural scent—" He trailed off as his eyes went to mine.
Unlike his normal beautiful purple coloured eyes, his eyes right now are pure gold. An indication his wolf has risen from slumber.
Good.
I smirk to myself at the thoughts of that.
This is precisely what I want; to get his wolf stirred up.
"I love it," I trail my hand down his hard abs— I've never admired abs in another male, but I find it difficult not to admire his— as I slowly bite my lower lip.
"Mek," he breathes out my name, like a prayer.
"I love how hard your abs are. Your neck is so—" I rub my nose on his neck.
He sharply inhaled.
"It's so soft," I continued with what I was doing. "Your abs, are so strong." I lightly pinched them through the layers of his shirt.
"Mek—" He tried to draw me closer to him, but I slipped, at the last moment.
Making sure to keep a distance between us, I smirk at the Rogue, whose wolf has already made an appearance.
"Enjoy." I wink at him.
"What was that?" He frowned at me.
"Two can play the same game, love." Winking at him, I ran inside my room before he can think of giving chase.
I flopped down on the bed after locking my door.
That serves him right.
I breathe out, only to notice a problem I ignored during my pranking.
My little brother has been woken.
