Vicky suddenly chuckled. " What a heartless law. Why not kill the whole family." She rolled her eyes. "As for the way the Monarch is treated, don't tell me they are made to be a soulless puppet. The law is literally saying the Monarch cannot be happy." She looked at Vim who didn't deny or admit to anything.
Being the person she is, Vicky took his silence for a yes and suddenly laughed out loud.
For the first time, she laughed so heartily outside her mansion and with her sister not there.
General Vim stared mesmerizingly at the girl laughing so elegantly in front of him and his mind traveled back to when the girl was a few months old and when she was a year old. Her laughter at that time was contagious.
Although she selected her people from the time she was born, those few people that she selected, including her grandfather at the time, would laugh so boisterously any time she was brought to him.
