As I finished setting up the circle, carefully arranging the candles and sigils, Mina spoke up, her voice slightly shaky but filled with determination.
"I used this incantation when we took the blood oath," she said, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a small, worn piece of paper. She handed it to me, her fingers trembling slightly. "It's a modified version of an old binding spell. I tweaked it so that our mate bond would always trump the blood oath. I took the paper from her, scanning the words she had written.
