Chapter 16 - No y/n moment

"I need her to stay by our side, so she will become our fan. I need to win this bet," Hwa told the manager Kang Junghoon, who was pretty confused about what was going on. But once Seonghwa explained it, he knew where the wind was going from.

"You made a bet with Haku again?" he asked and laughed. Jaemin nodded and sighed.

"They bet that the first fan he will meet he will make into SEA," he explained to manager Kang, who shook his head in disbelief.

"Do you know she is obviously a foreigner and you can't hold her back here just because of a bet you made?" he asked Seonghwa, figuring out his thinking. But Hwa just grinned and got up, getting his mic mounted on his back.

"That's why I'm glad she has to stand in for manager Baek Sungho. You can use that to hold her responsible and I can charm her that way." Hyunjun snorted when he heard it.

"Yeah, she looked really charmed by you," he noted after finishing laughing, earning a glare from Seonghwa.

"C-LAND, get ready in ten!" the station worker announced and everything started focusing seriously, warming up their muscles and throats. Ready to slay the stage.

And Seonghwa was especially ready. He wanted to show his cool and made the girl become SEA.

"Manager Kang, I have someone here for you," Lucy said and came closer to the manager with two people behind her. He frowned but nodded at her. The recording was in full swing and it would take time before it finished.

"I had called a few friends via the ministry of culture and they had a few people free. Because I'm not certified or even trained to be a manager. I found the manager Baek's substitute. Here is a contract he has with me and a confidentiality agreement for you." Lucy got him all the papers.

Manager Kang was stunned. Others would jump on the opportunity to become his assistant. Heck, there would be fans standing in lines, but she just threw it to someone else.

"And that…?" he asked, gesturing towards the other guy.

"Mmmm, Man Hyunwoo is… he is good at fighting, but he can't touch anyone because of his special status at the ministry, so I hired Lee Woojin. He is from the security bureau. He is in charge of keeping Hyunwoo and C-LAND safe." Lucy said and pulled down her cap and mask and gave it back to manager Kang.

He was stunned when he got more papers. He went through them and couldn't find anything wrong. Hell, there was even a stamp of the ministry on those contracts. Lucy was ready to leave, but then remembered one more thing.

"Oh, and I've sent a certified nurse, who can take care of manager Baek, to the hospital. So he is taken care of too. And because it was my fault, I will pay for them all." Now she was done, she bowed and left by saying bye to everyone.

But once she was out of sight, Lucy was sprinting to the nearest place where she could be picked up by tab, and hurried back to the hotel, packing her things.

Lucy finished just in time, breathing heavily, she arrived in the lobby and greeted Lili's father.

"Sorry for the waiting. I had something to take care of." He nodded. They actually had booked plane tickets for today, hurrying to get back to headquarters and work on the contract and campaign.

They arrived in Prague at night. And Lucy was thrilled she had caught up on some sleep. Her phone almost died. Thankfully, she bought a power bank in Korea, so Lei could contact her.

"You here?" she asked, not to waste time, and waved to Lil's father, who just walked away. Lei sighed.

"I arrived, but I don't see you," he answered, and Lucy was looking around. Then she noticed him. He was sitting on the chairs, looking around confused.

"I got you," she said, hung up, grabbed her suitcase, and ran to him. Her surprise for tomorrow was perfect.

The next day when they arrived in Brno, Lucy tried to remember what Lili's plan for today was. But by accident she found her playing games upstairs on the balcony.

"Lili!" Lucy shouted, trying to over-scream the crown that was walking around. Lili quickly turned and saw her heavily breathing. She ran there because Lei was waiting downstairs for Lucy, for effect...

They had a small ceremony. Lili got some gifts, and a diploma and was told that she had no chance to win the SoL tournament she participated in. But now, Lucy had no energy to fight them.

Lili ran back to Lucy, who was taking photos of her 'accomplishment' and live-streaming it.

"Hi." Lili smiled and waved to the phone. But Lucy ended the live, trying hard to hold back her laughter. Lucy grabbed Lili's hand and dragged Lili outside.

"Quickly. I have a surprise for you. Crap, I hope he moved. Because he would be drenched." Lucy said hoping Lei wasn't stupid enough to stand in the heavy rain that started pouring down during the ceremony.

"Oh, crap." Lucy cursed, and Lili looked right in front of her. Lucy dragged her through the crowd and halted. He was still standing outside in the heavy rain, drenched through.

"I told him to wait here and not move, but one would say he will take cover before the rain." Lucy shook her head in disbelief.

"You came," Lili whispered, and Lei nodded.

"I told you that when you finish the bracelets, I will come and get them. I just did not expect it would be so soon." Lei smiled and bent down. Lucy turned around, not wanting to see this.

She was glad her friend was now with her crush and Lucy was excepted from this year's com. Usually, she would enjoy it a lot, but now… she was tired. A lot.

Not physically, not that much. But it was more psychological exhaustion. The hard time in Korea. The guy was desperately making Lucy angry inside. The sadness that even though she had an opportunity to meet Haku by accident when she was at the TV station, she hadn't met him. That made her exhausted and the only thing she now wanted was silence and

"Mmm, let's go inside. I don't want you to catch a cold." Lili said and Lucy just raised her hands.

"I'm going back to the apartment… Enjoy yourself…" she said and Lili threw her the keys.

"I will call when we will come back…" Lucy nodded and went to get her car. Maybe after she was completely rested, after sleeping in a bed, she wouldn't feel so dead.
