As the sun rays touched Sophia's face, She parted her eyelids slowly, and stretched her arms, sat upright, only to find that it was sunrise. The sun rays entered dimly and filled in only a limited portion. But Sophia felt not the hotness of the temperature on her body in that room.
Sophia was still glued to the bed, pondering over what happened the previous night." Might be, it was all a dream. I am at Aunt's uncle's house, am I not?" she asked questions to confirm herself.
As she turned her gaze at the vampire sitting beside her, with his back turned at Sophia, her heart jerked. " Maybe, it was not a nightmare, it was a real incident, whose victim I was," whispered Sophia. On hearing some of her whispers, the vampire turned his face towards Sophia.
" So you have woken up, dear. Did you sleep well?" saying so he looked patiently at Sophia as if expecting a gentle response.
" Yes, Yes." saying so, Sophia deliberately nodded her head.
" Let's have a conversation, dear." said the vampire calmly.
Sophia continued to look down, shrinking her body gently to the corner end of the bed. She continued to shrink herself to the same spot, eyes fixed on the vampire, failing to realise that the vampire was looking at her doing this. Suddenly, her body tilted, and she was nearly falling to the floor when the vampire pulled her hand.
" Dear, what are you doing? you could have hurt yourself. If you don't want to talk to me just tell me, don't act insane. I didn't expect it from you. I am leaving now, call me when you need me." said the vampire, in a harsh light tone with tensed brows, and left the room.
Sophia's eyes filled with tears and she hit her head on a pillow. She continued to sob hard on the pillow, wiping her tears with it and rendering it moistened. she sniffed harder and said," Oh God! how can I get away from here, this vampire is so harsh on me."
Then her body released a puff of frustration, compromising with the situation "Maybe, I should act well in front of him. It is the only choice left. He would surely allow me to leave this palace. " Sophia raised her body and wiped her tears away.
She treaded to the vampire's room and knocked it. She placed herself at a distance from his room door. The vampire came out, dressed elegantly. " Are you fine now?" he stopped there with crossed arms and furrowed his eyebrows. Standing beside him, Sophia could feel her body warm and release sweat. Sophia put on an apologizing expression and said," I am sorry, Mr.vampire, I should not have acted indifferently towards you."
His eyebrows straightened and his expression switched to calm. " Go refresh yourself and brush your teeth. I will lay the breakfast on the table. The bathroom is on beside the princess room" saying so, he treaded quickly and passed by her. Sophia stood there, with a slightly open mouth. Then she strolled to the bathroom.
After bathing herself, Sophia put on the same clothing, because she hadn't brought any with her. She was about to enter the hall when she ran into the vampire. The vampire continued to look at her, with his thumb and fingers placed on his chin, in a v shape.
" Girl, why are you wearing the same clothing as before. Attire yourself with the beautiful clothes from the princess's wardrobe. Many elegant apparels would surely fit your size." he advised Sophia.
Sophia went inside the princess room, the same one in which she stayed. After a few minutes, the door opened ajar, and a gorgeous lady walked out towards the main hall. Dressed in a long red gown, that covered her legs, with hair styled in a bun and bangs on both the sides, Sophia was no less than a princess.
Her charming smile made the vampire's heart jerk with admiration. " Sit here girl." he pointed to the chair opposite him. She was reluctant at first but managed to pace slowly to sit beside him. Both of them were seated in an empty hall. The whole of the palace was empty, so it was not a surprise that the entire hall lacked the living creatures.
Sophia scanned the entire hall and found out that the dead bodies were no longer at the place where they were the previous day. " Where are the dead bodies, Mr.vampire?" implored Sophia.
The vampire raised his eyes from the book in hand, and said," They are in my breakfast and lunch."
" No, I can't eat human flesh!" Sophia tensed up.
" Your meal is pure vegetarian, don't worry. what's your name, girl?"
" My name is Sophia."
" You mean the girl with divine wisdom. A girl who knows about worldly affairs, and knows how to react in certain situations, is it true?"
He glanced at Sophia, who continued to look down, failing to make their gazes meet. With her palm placed to the sideburn, she kept thinking about something, exhibiting a dull gloomy expression. Then suddenly, her eyes brought out tears and she sobbed quietly.
Sophia clutched a handful of the table cloth and stood up and left the hall in frustration. Her facial expressions showed extreme tension and her orbs shed tears. She stood up and ran out of the hall, her cries ringing throughout the corridor, reaching the vampire's attentive ears. She went inside the princess's room and began to sob on the pillow.
