Twelfth century....
Ambrosia entered an old gamble house and her eyes fell on the man seating at the far end of the room. The other men at the gamble house all bowed their heads not daring to look at the eyes of the famous woman who makes everyone fall at their knee at the mention of her name.
She ignored the men as her eyes were fixed on one man who wasn't bothered about her presence unlike the others in the room. He drank his booze and waited for her to approach him.
Getting to his seat, she flung the table away, breaking it into pieces as it hit the wall with a loud thud. Ambrosia gripped his neck and her long nails digged deep into him. She raised him up from the ground and above her.
Seeing the situation between the two, the others in the gamble house all ran out including the managers and the owner of the house, leaving the house empty and quiet with just the heavy breathing of the man at the paw of Ambrosia.
Ambrosia wasn't bothered about them at all as her vengeance was for the man who seemed to be prepared for death and was already waiting for her to kill him. She tightened her hold on his neck digging deep into his neck and his blood flow down, staining the blue shirt he had on.
Just like every other person, he had tried to find a way to kill her and erase her from the surface of the earth. He was sent as a spy by a group of vampire hunters who wanted to see her downfall but that was a terrible mistake he made. He ended up falling in love with the vampire queen after staying with her for months. He had expected her to find out about his real intention and she did. He was ready for death. He was ready to die by her hands.
Ambrosia looked at the man who had betrayed her, the man who she was finally getting opened to, the man who she was free with and the man who she could talk about everything. He betrayed her. He was a spy for the vampire hunters. He was a vampire hunter too. How foolish for the vampire queen to have being so ignorant and deceived by a mere human.
"Go ahead Ambrosia, kill me." he urged breathlessly.
She pushed him down to the floor, hitting his head hard on the concrete ground. The young man groaned in pain as blood gushed out of his opened wound. Ambrosia never chooses an easy death for her targeted prey, she always goes the hard way.
Ambrosia raised him up again, not bothered about his pain and disappeared together with him. They materialized in front of a small building with a lamp burning outside. Recognizing where they were, the young man's eyes widened and his heart stopped beating for a moment. Not where he thought they would go to.
He looked at the woman who had a mischievous smile on her face and he knew at that moment what she was about to do. "No Ambrosia, no don't do this," he pleaded but the woman wasn't someone to persuade easily, infact, she can't be persuaded at all.
He never expected Ambrosia to come to his family house with him. He knew who she was and knew what she could do and whatever brought them there wasn't something good.
He fell on his knee and joined his palm together. "I will do whatever you want just spare my family please," he pleaded but the woman wasn't listening to him as her eyes were fixed on the front door.
A woman walked out with a lit lamp and shone it at their direction. Her lips curved into a smile as she saw who they were.
"Sebastian is that you?" she asked. Two little ones came out and stood by the doorway. The younger boy was a teenager and the youngest girl was just a little kid.
"No mother, go back inside," he yelled and tried standing up but felt something pinning his knees to the ground. They were the only people he had on earth and losing any of them would be the end of him. He tried standing up but couldn't and his mother wasn't hearing him as she kept approaching them with a smile.
The young man looked at Ambrosia again and her demeanor gave nothing away. Her eyes were bright red and black veins were throbbing in her neck.
"Please not my family. I beg you Ambrosia. It is all me. Blame it all on me and leave my family alone. I promise to do anything you want. You can kill me instead. Don't touch my family," he cried but it all fell on a deaf ear.
His mother was suddenly hypnotized and she began to move towards Ambrosia with her eyes darkened. She stopped right in front of the Vampire queen, and the vampire queen mischievous smile widened.
"Motherrrrrrrrr!" he screamed.
....
He woke up with a start and stared at the ceiling. It was all a dream but it did happened. His body shook slightly remembering what had happened to his family. His widowed mother, his baby brother and sister and his grandma, all die in cold blood by the hands of Ambrosia. A day he will never forget and the day that always gives him more hatred towards Ambrosia.
He climbed down his bed and the blanket he used to cover his naked body fell off, exposing his bare self. Sebastian stretched his muscles and headed for the bathroom.
Another day with just nothing but searching. Searching for the only way that will permanently take the vampire queen away from the surface of the earth.
.....
Darren moved his eyes and opened them. He was still on the cold floor. He faced up and moved his hand across his damp hair.
Everything that happened to him came rushing back into his memory. The woman bite his neck before he went unconscious. He touched the part she had bitten him and groaned when it stung him. "Shit," he muttered and looked around.
The sun was out and it reflection brightened the room. The room was empty with nothing at all. The floor was stained with darkened blood. Seeing the blood on the floor, he remembered his sister. She wasn't in the room.
"Isabel," he called lowly and stood up. He rubbed the part he was bitten again before he left the room.
His vision was still blurry and he felt dizzy as he staggered down the stairs. He just wanted to meet Ambrosia and ask her what she did with his sister that the pain never bothered him. There was only one place in his mind of where she was going to be and that is by the forest.
Heading to the forest, he halted few steps away when he saw her. She was standing before the forest with her hands behind her back.
