He grabbed me roughly and dragged me inside. I looked at him hysterically, trying to make him listen. My unstable heart rate made it difficult for my brain to process anything but I couldn't do anything because I was confused too. The last thing I needed was for him to not believe me!
"But Xavier, I didn't—"
"I am going to find out everything about you and your plans, Scarlet," He said as he threw me across the room. I landed on the few chairs: stumbling and falling down on the floor.
My elbow and my thigh bumped against the floor roughly and my whole body ached. I groaned in pain and tried to stand up when he came toward me again. I fell back down on the floor and crawled back.
I breathed heavily. "L-listen, Xavier. I wouldn't—wouldn't do anything so stupid. You know me enough to know that!" I shouted.
