"We're here!"
I yawned loudly and spread my hands, as I opened my eyes. I could see that I was in the car and so I looked around. "Scar, you awake?"
A deep masculine voice rang in my ears and a subconscious smile spread across my lips.
"Max."
"Yeah, baby. We're here."
Hearing such a beautiful endearment from him once again — after all this time was overwhelmingly peaceful. I didn't know that I missed it so much.
I looked at him and smiled. "Yeah."
I got out of the car and took Drew again in my arms as he was still asleep. It was better that way, since I would have more time to come up with a good excuse and explanation of everything. I needed to make sure he accepted Max — since I could only keep him safe that way.
I looked up. We had reached his house — and damn, was it a fantasy!
"Woah, you—you live here?" I asked as I closed the car door and looked at the building.
