"Mom?"
As soon as his voice reached my ears, I heaved a sigh of relief. "Mommy's here. Just wait a minute." I said as I tried to comfort him a little.
"Yeah, mommy."
I looked around to find some source of light as it was completely dark in here. I remembered how I was kept in the place he was — how this used to be my "prison".
My head had started to hurt badly from all the stress but I couldn't give up now. I couldn't even imagine anyone else going through everything that happened to me — let alone my own son.
"Oh fuck, I could use my phone!" I cursed under my breath as I realised my stupidity. My mind was completely messed up and it couldn't be more evident.
I took out my phone from my jeans hurriedly and then turned on the flashlight. I looked at him and exhaled when I saw him safe and well. "Come on," I said slowly and unlocked the bars.
