Cecilia's POV
Cecilia closed her eyes and let the wind blows her face, "you haven't slept yet?" Maria standing next to her great-granddaughter. Cecilia took a deep breath.
"Tell me, Nonna, did you tell Julia to kill Marco, Mr. Anderson, and Giusto?" Maria sighed, then looked at her granddaughter.
"Your wife can keep a secret from the other, but she can't keep it from her wife," Maria said.
Cecilia furrowed her brow. "What do you mean?" She touched her Nonna's hand.
Maria petted her head and sighed. "Let's get inside, shall we? It's cold outside," she said. She guides Cecilia to the living room. Cecilia sat on the couch next to her Nonna, then sighed. "What I command your wife to kill three of them because they know who am I." Maria put her necklace to Cecilia's hand.
Cecilia touched the necklace. "What is this?" She keeps touched the necklace and inspects the object in her hand.
"My boyfriend gave me," she said. "He said he wants to pass the necklace to his bloodline. Your mom passed, so I want to give it to you," Cecilia sighed. She put the necklace inside her purse.
Cecilia put her head on her Nonna's lap and closed her eyes to enjoy her Nonna petting her head. Inside her heart Cecilia wants to spending her time with her wife, but Julia's confession an hour ago made her realized "Is that hard to become a Don's wife, Nonna? I mean, in your experience, you said you once married to a Don?" she asked.
Maria simply nod and smiled at her question. Her granddaughter was an innocent, but her name was already popular in the crime world. "It is Cecilia. It's difficult to see our husband go home bleeding or have a wound every time." Cecilia wakes up.
"Why you told Julia to kill them, Nonna? We shouldn't kill someone, right?" Maria smiled and keep petting Cecilia's hair.
Maria took a deep breath, then smiled. "That's how it works, Cecilia. They were already under oath." Cecilia furrowed her brow. Maria looking at her granddaughter and sighed. "I told Julia to kill them, and she obliged. I'm a Godmother from now on, Cecilia. She killed them before both of you were married." She explained.
Cecilia did not speak a word after hearing Maria's explanations. "W-why you told her?" Cecilia looking at her Nonna with a lot of questions inside her brain. "You know killing someone else's life will affect your record, right? Wh-why you did not negotiate or something?" Cecilia asked as she covered her mouth.
She did not believe about what her Nonna's said. Maria was the ex-wife of Vito, and Princess of Death. Every person who tried betrayed her, she will hurt them, even killed them on the spot. Maria keeps her secret for years so, her remaining family feel safe. "I kept my secret for decades because I want to my family feel safe, but tonight I can't lie anymore." She said.
She left Cecilia alone in the living room, alone. She still sits there and processing what her Nonna tells her. Cecilia sits for minutes without a sound until a door opened from her right. "You awake?" Julia walking towards her, then sits next to her wife.
She did not reply, but put her arms around her waist. "I killed them because your Nonna told me to do it. Why? Because that's how it works, Cecilia. They should face the consequences of being a traitor." Without hesitation, Julia give her a gun and put the nozzle on her forehead.
"Julia…" Cecilia's words cut by Julia's finger on her lips.
"I know," she said. Julia took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "Shoot me," Cecilia furrowed her brow.
"What the fuck you want!?" Cecilia snarled. "I don't want this childish game, Julia! I want your honesty!" Cecilia slapped her face with a gun in her hand. Cecilia stood up and she still pointing a gun at her forehead. "I'm your wife! I deserve to know what happened to your clan!" Cecilia puffing her chest.
Julia lower the gun and pulled her to her embrace. "I'm sorry," she said.
Cecilia replied to her embrace and petting her back. She did not answer her apologize, but inside her heart she knows it's hard for her to tell the truth about exactly happened to Julia and her family. "Please, tell me what happened." Cecilia let go of her embrace and stared at her.
"Mr. Anderson and Marcello were undercover agents, and Giusto was the mole," Julia said. Cecilia was speechless after hearing about what she said. "Your Nonna told me, Cecilia. She didn't want you or all of her family to become a tool to Feds made a case against me and Salvatore." Cecilia touched her eyes cheek. "Not also to saving my family, but yours. Your Nonna will be in prison if I did not kill them." Julia said.
Cecilia embraces her. She knows what her wife did was wrong. She didn't want her Nonna and Julia not on her side. They were the only thing in this world important for her. "I did not kill Rico because he has personal issues… with me and Montella family." Cecilia kissed where she slapped her cheek with her gun.
"I'm sorry for your cheek, my wife." She touched her cheek as if she had touched an expensive vase.
"It's okay, babe. I deserve that," Julia said.
Cecile petting her hair, "don't do it again, Julia. I'm serious," Julia hummed. "I'm serious," Cecilia said. Julia cupped her cheek and kissed her forehead.
"I promise," Julia said as she looking at her eyes.
Moonlight shines their skin. They both stared at each other's eyes. Julia tightened her grip on Cecilia's hand. Their hand tangled to each other like it's the last day on earth. "Julia" "Cecilia" they said in sync. They both chuckling and Julia put her hand around her waist.
"You first," Julia took a deep breath.
"Can I ask a favor?" She looking at her wife.
"What kind?" Julia pulled her closer, then leaned her back.
"Don't do it again, Julia. I don't like it! Honestly, I want you to sleeping at the couch tonight," Cecilia slapped Julia's chest. Julia hummed as her response. Cecilia lay her head on her lap and touched her lips. "I want to meet your mom." Julia pecked her nose.
"Okay, after we visit my dad from the prison. He called me," Julia said as she rubbed Cecilia's cheek.
"What di he said!?" Cecilia sat and hold Julia's hand. She rubbed her wife's hand and pat her shoulder. "Everything alright?" Cecilia's silvery tone made the Lady Salvatore smiled.
Julia put her head on her shoulder and sighed, "my dad wants me to come, but my Nonna will be there, too. I'm not letting her hurt your feeling like the other day, babe." Julia holding her hand.
"Let's get rest, okay? I'm sleepy. We can talk when it's morning," Cecilia looked at her wife. Julia piggy back her wife to their room.
