Julia's POV
Julia approached her wife with a bouquet with a smile draw on her face. She tidying her collar and cleared her throat. "Hey, there," she greets.
Cecilia embracing her wife. "What is this?" She asked as she groping the bouquet.
"It's your favorite," Julia said. "Do you want to come?" Cecilia furrowed her brow.
"Where?" she asked. Instead of answering her question, Julia pulled her closer and put her arm around her waist. "Julia, answer me!" She gripped her white cane tightly.
"Let's we played a game," Julia pulled out two entrance tickets. "A famous amusement park in the world other than Universal Studios. The theme park…" Cecilia interrupts her with a groan.
"It's Disneyland, right?" Cecilia irritated now. "I told you…" Julia locked Cecilia's lips with her lips.
"One of my colleague, Justin. Do you remember him?" Cecilia nods.
She rolled her eyes and sighed. "How can I forget about the person who almost killed Max with a chocolate bar!?" she explained.
"He broke up with her girlfriend, and he gave me these tickets, including plane tickets, and he booked a hotel nearby for three days, two nights." Julia said.
Cecilia's eyes turned into bright and smiled drawn on her face. "Seriously!? H-he's not lying, right?" Cecilia grabbed her hand.
"No, he isn't." Julia said.
"So, how's you've got that ticket?" She stared at her.
Julia giggling as she scratching her eyes. "Well, he wants to propose to his girlfriend, but unfortunately, she wants to break up with him." Julia explains.
Cecilia hummed and leans her head on her shoulder. "Babe," Julia hummed.
Cecilia's POV
Cecilia plays with her fingers. "You already know me!" she claimed, "but I know nothing about you," she hunched.
Julia stroked her hair, and they heard a rumble sound from Julia's stomach. "I'm sorry to ruin our moment again," Cecilia squeezed Julia's arm. "So, do you want delivery?" Cecilia did not answer.
She closed her eyes and fills her lung with her scent. "What do you think? We should re-stock our groceries." Julia pulled out her phone.
"I want to eat super bowl supper," Julia said as she surfed at the internet.
"Do you have an enormous appetite like this?" Julia took a glance at her wife and shook her head.
"I wanted to take you on a picnic," Julia said.
Cecilia furrowed her brow. "Where?" Julia cleared her throat.
"Rooftop with Max," Julia said as she clicked on the website called GoldBelly.com. Cecilia leans her head on her shoulder. "How's our shop today?" Julia stroked her hair.
"Not that bad. We should start upgrading!" Cecilia slaps her hand.
Julia nodding her head. She took a deep breath and looked at her phone. "Babe, next month your Nonna holds a banquet at her place," Julia looks at her.
"A mafioso banquet or a family banquet?" Cecilia leaned her head on her lap. Julia wants to answering her wife's question, but she puts her finger in front of her lips. "I guess it's a family banquet?" Julia smiled and nod.
"Plus, super bowl kick off!" Julia said passionately. Cecilia lifts her head.
"Do you like the NFL?" Cecilia asked. Julia nods, then she turns on the tv.
"What about you? Do you do some sports?" Cecilia nods.
"I was in Taekwondo class before. Last time, I learned until I got 4th Dan." Cecilia said.
Julia's POV
Julia shivers as she looks at her wife. "Do you want to continue it? I know someone," Julia grabs her hand, and they heard the knocked on her door. "Our food," Julia said.
She walked approach the door and looked at in front of her. "Oh, you. I thought the delivery guy," no smile on her face. Evie's awkward smile made her slam the door in front of her face.
"Julia, who's there?" Cecilia asked.
Julia did not answer and walk to her wife. "just nobody," she said. A knocked on the door heard again in their ears. She took a deep breath and opened the door abruptly. "What the fuck do you…" her words cut because she saw a delivery man in front of her.
She took a deep breath and hand him a money, "it's…" Julia snatched the paper bag while a grimace draw on her face. Julia walked to the couch with a big paper bag in her hand.
"Well, the first who knocked on our door is my ex, and the second is the delivery man," she explained while she took out the meal she ordered. Julia put a bowl of ramen, a box of Osaka's large platter, a box of bento, and two packs of California rolls.
Cecilia sniffing and raised her eyebrow. "I thought you will give me something edible," Cecilia protest to her.
Julia opened the bento and put it on her lap. "I'm curious about Japanese cuisine," she said lightly. Julia gave her wife a pair of utensil.
"Do you like food?" Julia hummed.
"Everyone loves food, babe. That's how food porn invented." Cecilia slaps her shoulder. "Food-gasm," she teased her.
Cecilia slaps her head with a plastic fork while she giggling. "Stopped your nonsense! You made me cringe to death." Cecilia rolled her eyes. Julia opened the lid and the tonkatsu broth flavour evaporate to the air. "What is the smell?" Julia picked the chopstick and sniffing it for a second.
"It's a ramen. Do you want it?" Julia looked at Cecilia. Julia pours out a lot of wasabi paste on her sushi, "fun fact about wasabi," Cecilia eats her bento. "When you eat your sushi with wasabi, you can't taste the sushi," Julia eats her first bite of her ramen.
"Really? Did you just talking nonsense again?" She asked.
Julia shook her head, "no, I didn't." Julia said in defense. "My friend Hiro, he's a Japanese and Yakuza leader, told me that." Cecilia nods her head.
"Hmm… I thought you were talking nonsense again," Cecilia take a bite and feels something hairy on her bento box. "What is this!?" Julia looked at what Cecilia touched.
"Oh, that was edamame, or another word boiled soy bean." Cecilia furrowed her brow.
"Seriously!? You didn't want to trick me, right?" Cecilia raised her eyebrow and carefully as she groping the skin.
"I'm serious. Every bento box in Japan, maybe has that thing. I don't know! I'm Italian," Julia take a bite.
"Mixed Italian to be exact, Mrs. Super Cringe," Cecilia relief that her wife did not prank her. Max's barking sound make the couple looked at him.
"Max, no! You were not a cat," he's whining. "Beside, I already put a lot of wasabi on the top of the sushi." Max keep looking Julia with his puppy eyes. "No!" Max go to his bed, hunch.
Julia who didn't want her dog hunch, she whistle and get out something from the paper bag. "I never forget about you, Max!" Max barking while his eyes looks at the steak. "Good boy! Grabbed this." Max snatches it from Julia's hand.
"How's I eat this?" Cecilia rubbed the skin.
"You can feel the gap between the beans, right?" Cecilia nods. "Push it with your teeth and let it slide to your tongue," Cecilia do exactly what Julia instruct. "Wow, it-it's good!" Cecilia's satisfaction face makes Julia's heart melt. She never saw her wife smiled as wide as now.
They continue their dinner while the couple chatting about everything.
