Chereads / A Demonic Fate / Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Creston's new home 2

Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Creston's new home 2

Creston was a suspiciously short tempered boy. He also exhibited his demonic powers or features unknowingly, mostly when he's angry.

Though Creston was a mischievous dude, he was crazy handsome and lots of girls at school were dying for him but Creston didn't care. One could say he was too hard hearted or shallow to notice.

Sometimes, when Creston gets angry ( Which is a lot) his red eyes shine brightly, his nails become long and sharp, this handsome dude turns to a monster. But only for that minute. He also possessed extraordinary strength, much greater than that of an ordinary human. The fact makes him hard to get bullied. He was no attention seeker, so he never bullied anyone. He was a cool guy. He didn't tolerate oppression. He was a free demon. He couldn't just watch someone get oppressed in front of him. He just couldn't.

One day, Laura, Creston's mom, was asked to bake a cake and some cookies for the orphanage.

A girl from the orphanage, just about Creston's age or two years younger, came to pick it up but Laura said that it wasn't ready yet and she should wait. The girl's name was Tracy.

When Creston saw her, he had a feeling inside, a feeling that he just couldn't understand. He decided to make a new friend.

"Hi there, I'm Creston, what's yours?"

Tracy instead of answering just stared. Creston was used to being ogled at by girls and he never felt shy, but this time, he did!

Though Creston was pretty good looking but Tracy wasn't ogling, she just wasn't used to strangers.

Laura came to stop the awkward moment by introducing them to each other.

"Creston, meet Tracy. Tracy, Creston".

Tracy decided to stick around, after all, the cake wasn't ready yet.

Tracy and Creston were having the best time ever.

Creston and Tracy were playing board games of course Creston didn't want to, he said board games makes him bored (A.N: haha. Get it?) but Laura made him. Tracy was about two years younger than Creston and she grew up in the orphanage home. She said she spent all her life there and she never got adopted. All her friends got adopted but not her. Anyways she still had friends.

Tracy was a cool girl, not too timid, not too brave, she was just fine. Creston enjoyed her company, not like he didn't have friends, it's just that his best friend, Levi, was out of town and his mom made him do it. It was surprisingly....fun.

Mc'elle was out, dad was out, bakery was busy so Creston and Tracy were playing in the living room upstairs. The house was a story building, the bakery and scrap room were on the ground floor and the house was on the next floor. The place belonged to Creston's family, the Jonahs.

"Hey, you cheated".

"No I didn't".

Creston and Tracy were busy quarrelling over some board game called Monopoly. Tracy thinks Creston moved two extra steps.

"Okay, fine. We'll play some other game. How about Chess?" Creston asked. "Do you know how to play it?" He asked further. Tracy felt insulted and she sneered "humph! I should be the one asking you that". Creston replied by raising a brow.

So they played. Creston has never been a patient person to play something as boring as chess. He was only trying to be courteous to his guest, Tracy but he now regretted it.

"Hey Tracy, aren't you bored of these board games?" Creston asked.

"You got anything better?"

"Um, yeah!" Creston yelled. "Have u ever used playstation (PS) 3 before".

"I've heard of it but I have never used it. Ms Freida, the head Nun, never lets us. She said things like that doesn't mentally benefit us."

Tracy replied for Creston to mutter; "how sad. Let's play." Creston said, "Don't worry, I'll teach you". Creston stated as she shot him a look.

So he taught her and taught her, over and over again until she got it. Finally, it was time to play a proper game, then Mc'elle walked in, she glanced at Creston, "Hello Creston". She glanced at Tracy and with an empty tone asked; "Who is this?"

Creston introduced them to each other and explained why Tracy was here.

Mc'elle looked at Tracy again and said "Tracy, I think it's time to go, it's about 6pm now." Creston and Tracy were both utterly shocked. They had no clue. They closed the curtains so light couldn't get in and so Tracy couldn't get distracted.

M'celle pressed her lips into a thin line and said: " Creston take Tracy home immediately".

"Whatever Ms bossy pants." Creston rudely said. "C'mon Tracy. It was nice being an older brother but it's time to go". Tracy stood up and Creston led her out. While going, Laura saw them. She was equally shocked but she didn't show it, instead, she called Tracy and gave her a beautifully designed cake to take with her.

"Tracy, what were you doing up there? You've been here since noon. It's time to get going." Laura then said. "Creston be careful. There are some unreasonable men on the way. Avoid them."

"Yes mom". Creston said.

...

They were walking through the quiet Derek street. That evening, it was quiet, too quiet.

They talked with each other to make themselves feel comfortable. Creston helped her carry the cake and the cookies which were wrapped up and placed on the cake. He was being quite a gentle man.

They took a turn, to a dark alley. While they passed and talked and giggled, three men - possibly drunkards - stopped them in their tracks.

"Oy, the girl looks nice". One of them said.

"Yeah. She's gonna sell for loads of cash".

"Look, her bodyguard brought us some cake".

HAHAHA.

The scumbags burst into laughter. They barely noticed Creston. They wanted to kidnap Tracy and sell her.

They started taking big steps towards Creston and Tracy and Creston and Tracy started taking big steps away from them. Finally, Creston and Tracy were cornered!

The bad guys took hold of Tracy and started dragging her away.

"Creston help me!" Tracy panicked.

Creston put the cake aside and went to get her. "Hey, idiots, get your hands off her!"

"Oh no! we're so scared!" They laughed and pushed him away. They dragged Tracy.

Creston was not happy about this. He was about to do something cool but was stopped by the palm of one of the men.

He got slapped in the face!

Creston slowly turned his head and looked into the eyes of the guy who hit him and the guy saw the strangest thing.

Creston's dull red eyes were now blood red and it looked scary. Creston smirked and, suddenly, he punched this guy in the gut.

What's surprising is that the guy flew and hit the wall.

Just one of Creston's punch sent this guy flying?!

The other two guys were in awe. While they were distracted, Tracy kicked one in the balls and freed herself from his tight grip. Her kick left this guy in utter pain. Then she ran to Creston's side.

"You've got some nerve, kid". Said the last man standing as he walked quickly towards Creston. He threw a fist but Creston caught it and threw it away? ( A.N: Picture this as a badass moment).

Creston was going crazy, he punched the guy in the face and before he knew it, Creston punched him again! and again and again until the guy started bleeding. Tracy thought that the guy had had enough beating but to her surprise Creston didn't stop, instead, he started to kick the guy and he didn't want to stop. Tracy got scared, she pulled Creston away from the guy and was trying to calm him down but Creston pushed her away and she fell. With tears in her eyes she called his name softly, "Creston".

It was like her voice brought him back. He looked at her, his blood red eyes went back to dull red eyes. "Tracy. I'm so sorry for pushing you like that -" he took a step closer but Tracy moved back, she was scared of him. She got up and ran to the orphanage by herself.

She left her cake so Creston picked it up and chased her. He was determined to give her

that cake.

So he followed her to the orphanage and gave her the cake.
