Chapter 3 - Orphanage.

Kenta and Michael walked towards the majestic looking mansion in their line of sight. Seeing the mansion from far away was thrilling but seeing it up close gives it a different type of feeling.

Kenta was honestly impressed by the sight before him.

Seeing the surprise look on his face, Michael couldn't help but chuckled proudly, so far Kenta had always had an expressionless face but now, his face was fitting for a boy his age.

After roughly 15 minutes of walking, they finally arrived at the mansions entrance; the outer premise of the mansion was surrounded by the dazzling light illuminated by the silver moon filtering through the clouds.

If measuring by hight, the mansion seems to be roughly 6,000 feet tall. And was extremely wide covering a range of 25,000 meter. It was a sight Kenta had never seen before in his life as he stared wide eyed.

They arrived at a two-sided wooden door, which had a beautiful girl waiting there, as though she had expected their arrival.

She had long waist length blond hair and seems to be in her late teens wearing a maid attire. Standing there once she saw Michael; she respectfully lowered her head.

"Welcome home, Sir Wescott." She greeted Micheal while grasping the hem of her long dress, after she raised her head, she looked at Kenta curiously.

However, that look immediately faded and she put on a welcoming smile on her face.

"Thank you, lady Sara will you inform my sister I have another child with me." Michael requested while taking off his jacket which was slightly dampened from the rainwater.

"Understood, please come this way." She said respectfully, opening up the door. Once the doors were opened, the first thing that came into view was the beautiful designed of the room interior.

The white room walls were extremely clean, not a speck of dirt or smudge could be seen on the unblemished walls.

Furthermore, the chandelier hanging from the ceiling radiate a faint yet warm light that completely illuminated the entire room.

The antique furniture of the room was of high quality.

'Could he be a noble of some kind?' Kenta wondered while gazing at Michael side profile in suspicion. For him to be living inside a mansion, Kenta suspected he must have some kind of special position inside this kingdom, either that, or he was from a wealthy family.

"It's fine for you to take a seat if you want, you know." Michael said to Kenta who was gazing around the room curiously. Hearing his words, Kenta turn his face away and respond with his usual toneless expression.

"No thanks. I'm not thoughtless enough to seat myself on someone's property with my clothes still wet."

His clothes were dripping wet from being in the rain for so long.

He wasn't so inconsiderate to ignore the state of his clothes and cause a mess of the place. However, although he used that as a convenient excuse to avoid the topic, Kenta wasn't actually concerned about making a mess of the place.

He just didn't want to sit down as his nerves were still very agitated at the moment. Perhaps somewhere inside himself, he still couldn't bring himself to completely trust Micheal yet.

Indeed, although it had been several hours since he lost his parents, his mind still hasn't completely recovered from the shock.

Seeing his dripping wet clothes, Michael nodded his head in understanding he was a shame of his own thoughtlessness, taking no notice of Kenta's mental state.

"Y-Your right... We should hurry and get you out of those wet clothes before you catch a cold." He said, shrugging his shoulder.

Before long, the maid, Sara returned along with two other ladies, one was an elderly woman who seems to be in her thirties, her brown hair was tied in a bun.

Her green eyes showed a sense of maturity. As for the girl standing beside her, she seems to be in her early teens.

Her long waist length silver hair shimmered with the room lights ethereal glow; her violet eyes glowed faintly like amethyst with the lights reflected inside her pupils.

Her fair smooth skin was as clear as fresh snowfall.

Once they had both made their way inside the room, they both showed bright smiles on their faces.

"Uncle, welcome back." The silver-haired girl said cheerfully. Her bright smile was very charming. It was filled with an allure that could subconsciously make anyone stare at her.

"I'm glad to be back, have you been well?" Michael asked, while looking at the silver-haired girl.

"Yup, everyone has been really good to me." She replied in a happy tone.

Watching the exchange from the side with kind eyes, the woman directed her gazed towards Kenta who hadn't said anything since their arrival.

"Umm... Is this the boy you mentioned?" She questioned, turning a fixed stare towards Michael.

"Yes, I'll tell you of his circumstances later, but for now, can you take care of him?" Michael asked while watching the expression of the woman before him, hearing his question, she sighed once before showing a half-exasperated face.

"Of course, isn't it my job to take care of the children? Now stop making that guilty face already." She said while tugging his shoulder and puffing up her cheeks cutely.

Kenta who was watching their exchange wore a confused expression, were they family? Or lovers?

He couldn't tell while observing their brief exchange just now but, looking at the playful grin on her face, it seems she was probably teasing him.

"Well then, Ellen could you show him to a room that is available?" The woman asked with a clap of her hands, turning to the silver-haired girl on her right who goes by the name Ellen.

"Understood." Hearing the woman sudden request, Ellen promptly jump to her feet and grasp Kenta's hands, leading him towards his room.

Kenta looked uncomfortable holding someone's hands he had never met before.

However, there was a nice fragrance drifting from her body, he kept a toneless face as she gave him a simple tour around the mansion.

They had visited so many rooms that Kenta had completely forgotten how many rooms he had seen, the mansion was divided into many different layers.

Kenta and Ellen were currently going through the many different rooms on top of the upper layers of the mansion.

"And this is the kitchen." Ellen said while dragging Kenta by the hand leading him towards a spacious dining room.

Judging by the width of this kitchen, it probably measured roughly 500 cm it had more than enough room to fit the maximum number of approximately 60 people.

"At breakfast time we all gather here and eat together; oh, you should get here really early otherwise all the good stuff will be gone if you're late." She explained while showing a faint smile on her face.

Hearing her explanation, Kenta only nodded his head curtly.

She then guided him towards the room he's going to be staying in, she continued explaining everything he needs to know about living here.

From what time you should wake up in the mornings

To what time you're supposed to go to sleep at night.

Kenta listens to her long-detailed explanation with an indifferent look on his face. Before long, they finally arrived at the room Kenta will be staying in as he lived there.

"And this is your room." She said while handing Kenta the silver key. Kenta accepted the key while staring at it closely.

"Well, my room is just on the other side of those two doors so, if you need anything feel free to call me." She said before walking away, her silver hair fluttered with her movements.

Once her figure was completely out of his sight, he used the key he was given and opened the door with a small creak, what greeted him was the beautiful interior of the room.

It had a small number of furnishers already compared with the other rooms, but it still had a suitable amount.

There was a large glass size window, showing the scenery of the mansion garden.

Kenta let out a deep breath to calm himself. He wasn't sure what he should do now; he was completely on his own.

He quickly changes into a warm suit of clothes which was brought over beforehand and slumped down onto the massive size bed.

He stared at the ceiling walls for a while, until drowsiness completely took over and his consciousness faded.
