After Kenta had parted with Ellen he went into the direction where his room was located, ignoring the calls of various children he passed along the way. He then went up a 10-layer staircase. "Oh, you must be Kenta, right? Good timing, I wanted to talk to you." A woman who was standing at the top said with a smile on her face, she was one of the mansions owners. The lady he had met the night before. Michael's older sister.
Kenta stops and nods to the woman before following her towards an empty room, she then seated herself around a small wooden table. Seeing that Kenta also seated himself right before her.
He took a slight glance around the room, viewing all the fancy furnishings.
"Please allow me to formally introduce myself, I'm Suzette Matthew. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said showing a friendly smile on her pink lips. "I'm, Kenta Logan. Nice to meet you." He said while sending her a look of caution.
He still didn't know what she wanted to talk about, until he finds out her true intentions for bringing him here, he wouldn't let his guard down.
Of course, in this world people will always hide their true nature, humans were all being who have greed, selfishness, animosity, as long as he lives, he refuses to allow them to use him and dispose of him as though his life held no meaning.
'They are far worse than any monsters that exist in this world' he thought.
"I'm not going to hurt you, you know." She said seeing the tense expression on his face. "You can relax, I just have some questions to ask you, okay." A friendly smile then bloomed on her face as she said this. "Oh, and what might that be?" He asks tilting his head curiously. "How have you been getting along with the other kids; I'd be really happy if you have made some friends." She said peering at his face intensely.
Hearing her words which goes against what he was expecting he frown before replying. "I don't need any friends." Kenta said as he leaned back on his chair into a comfier position. "You don't need any friends, you say." Suzette frowned when hearing his response. 'He doesn't need any friends, isn't he at the age where most kids would want to have friends' she thought while looking at Kenta with complicated expression.
"I see… well then. Do you have a goal? Something you want to do with your life now that, you're an orphan. It might be a little rough for you, but I can guarantee. That you're going to do great finding a goal where you can live peaceful from here on." She said talking in a passionate tone as though to convince him. Hearing her Kenta sighed in annoyance, they were the exact same words he heard from Michael not too long ago.
"Like I said before… I've already made up my mind, that I would definitely make the once who stole from me regret that decision for the rest of their life, no matter how much you try to convince me to change my mind, my answer won't change." He said simply. Hearing his resolute response, Suzette let out a heavy sigh.
Before putting on a serious face. "Do you really think you can do it?" She asked gazing at Kenta with sharp eyes, she has seen many people who wanted revenge only to end up regretting it later.
Kenta was still young there was still time to turn back. She desperately hopes he would turn back before it was too late. "I didn't make my decision with half-baked resolve, you know. I don't appreciate being compared with to those fools who couldn't even go through with their own resolve." He said looking at Suzette with cold eyes.
She once again heaved a tired sigh as though giving up. 'It seems it's impossible after all'
After making a contemplative face she once again stared at Kenta with a serious face. "Well then how about you try getting along with the kids in this mansion and put your plan of revenge on hold for the time being." She opened her mouth and spoke. "I refuse." He muttered with a board face. "Haha, it seems your dead set on your revenge.
It's not rare to find people like you who holds so much animosity towards the nobles and royalties of this nation." She said with a slight smile on her face. "If that is all you wanted…, can I leave now?" He asked.
She nodded her head slowly before folding both her hands together. With an expression as though she had many thoughts running through her head. Kenta got up to his feet and exited the room. Once the sound of the door closing could be heard she sighed once with a vex expression on her face. "It seems it's going to take longer to convince him." She muttered in a low voice.
