I finished up washing the out clothes by the pond. My stomach growled, I guess after all that hard work I must have worked up an appetite. I got up and went over to hand out clothes. After I hung the clothes I headed back home. I looked around at the men in the town. I was surprised Carson let me go here alone. An older guy looked at me and we made eye contact. He winked and looked me up and down. I shivered in disgust and speed walked the rest of the way to the den. I quickly went to Carson scared that the guy I had made eye contact with was following me. "Are you ok?" He asked as I hid behind him. "Next time I want you to come with me to wash clothes. There was some old guy who looked at my body and seemed to like it." He mumbled something to himself. "I'm sorry Angel. I should have went with you. I knew it wasn't a good idea to let you go by yourself." His ears went down. "Hey, don't beat yourself up it wasn't that big of deal ok? Also what's with the nickname?" He nodded at me and then pat my head. "I chose Angel as your nickname because your kind and very elegant." I blushed at his words. None of the guys back at home would treat me this way. It was kind of nice to be called that. "Thank you." I hugged him as I said that. He smiled and hugged me back "Your welcome Angel." His stomach growled as I leaned against him. "Hungry?" I asked as I looked up at him. He nodded "What should we eat." I thought for a little while and then decided I should make some stew. "Do you have any meat around here?" He left and came back with what looked like a pound of meat. It looked like beef but I wasn't to sure since I was in a new world with new creatures. "Can you chop it into bite size peace's please?" He unsheathed his claws. "Sure thing." Well that's new. I didn't know her had claws. "When your done will you go to the town with me to get supplies?" He finished up slicing a piece. "Mhm! What do you need?." I though for a second of what would go good in the stew. "Just some spices." I got a stone bowl and filled it with water that Carson had brought back early this morning. I grabbed some sticks and rocks and created a fire and then sat the bowl of water over to let it boil. Carson finished up cutting the meat and went to pick me up. "Get your nasty hands away from me." He looked at me strangely and then noticed he still had blood on his hands from the meat. "Sorry Angel." I smiled at him and we headed to the town. Guys looked at me with wide eyes and I wasn't sure why. "Carson?" I said as I tugged only his shirt. "Why are all these guys looking at me? It's freaking me out." He put his arm around me and pulled me closer to help me feel better. "The guys around here think your attractive. Most females are a little bigger and have shorter hair. The females here are beautiful but these men think that you are more beautiful." Think I'm more beautiful? So these men only like females for their looks? For me the looks of someone doesn't mean anything to their beauty. Only the personality and what's on the inside of them is beautiful. "Can we go a little quicker then?" I whispered to Carson. "Why? Are these men making you uncomfortable Angel?" I nodded and hugged him. He picked me up and set me on his shoulders. I looked at the blood he got on my waist from his hands. Gross. It's ok I can just take a bath later. We got to a den and went inside. I looked around realizing this was the first place Carson took me after he kidnapped me. The same guy that had grabbed my ankle came up to us. He looked at me and smiled. "Hello. My name is Eir." He went to grab me to set me off of Carson's shoulder. Carson grabbed the the doctors hand and twisted. Their was and awful crunch that brought shivers through my body. He cried out in pain and quickly went back. "Carson! That wasn't necessary!" He shrugged and set me down. "Go see if there is any spices here. Usually there is spices here for when patients need soup." I nodded and went after looking. I went to what looked like the back room of the den . I looked inside noticing baskets. I opened up one of the tinier baskets that was on a shelf. There was cloves of garlic in the basket. "Carson. Can we get these?" I asked as I brought out the basket. He opened the lid of the basket. "Mhm. Anything else you'd like?" I handed him the basket and went back to look at the rest of the spices. As I looked I found chili peppers, green onions, salt, and what looked like potato's. I brought the baskets out. "How about these? Oh also what are these?" I showed him the plant that looked like the potato's. "Those are called root plants. They are very starchy but they are good in soups." So they are potato's. That should go good with the stew. I grabbed some of the baskets and climbed up on Carson's shoulder. He set down a gem on the counter on the den and then left. "What was the gem for? Was it to buy the spices?" I hope it wasn't to expensive. "Mhm. We use gems to buy items." He walked over towards the pond and set me down. "Wash the blood off of your waist and then we'll go home." I put my hands in the water. I splashed water on my waist. I shiver at the coldness of the water on my skin. When I finished cleaning the blood off Carson picked me up and headed to the house. When we got to the house Carson set me down and I went over to the boiling water. I set down the baskets and then opened them. I got some garlic and chopped it up so it was tiny. I then grabbed some chili flakes and and chopped it up. And put some of both of them in the water and then put the rest on the meat. I sprinkled salt in the water. "Hey Carson do you have any soy beans?" He looked at me confused. "It's green and it's kind of long but it grows on a bush that's really tall." He left and came back quickly with soybean in his hands. "Like this?" I nodded and then took them. I peeled the it to reveal the beans. I put the beans in the water and then set the meat by the fire to cook. After the meat cooked I put the meat in the water and let it sit. When it was done I let Carson taste. "This is delicious!" I smiled and poured him and I and bowl to eat. After eating I let Carson finish the rest. He kissed my cheek after he finished. "That was delicious Angel. Thank you."
