Chapter 14 - Finally I Get To Relax!

I woke up in Carson's arms still by the fire. "Good morning sleepy head." Carson said as he laughed at me. "Good morning!" I smiled and looked up at him. We both got up realizing we never took off our dance outfits. We put our regular clothes on and ate fish for breakfast. "You want to go on a walk?" Carson asked as he cleaned up his dish from this morning. "I'd love to! I want to see outside of camp more." He turned into his wolf and came closer to me. His legs with how long they were made his posture look a little strange but his wolf form was still beautiful. I got on the wolf and we headed out. His fur was really soft which made the ride comfortable for me. We went through the forest which had many fruits and all sorts of berries so I made Carson stop and I went and picked some to bring home. We kept on a trail that we had found at the beginning of our walk. "Carson do you know where we're going?" I asked as I looked around the forest which darkened the farther I looked. He nodded and we kept on going until we got to a tunnel. I got off of Carson's back while he transformed back into his human form. We walked into the cave as we soon found ourselves in a pool of darkness. I got closer to Carson while we kept on our walk and found light pretty soon. At the opening of the blinding light there was vines hanging down from the rocks. We headed in side and found a large cherry blossom tree with a pond covering around it. "Woah. I've never seen anything like this before!" Carson picked me up and stepped through the water while I watched firefly's buzz around us while giving off a yellowish kind of light. The grass was a bright green and was really soft. I sat down with a sigh and smiled at Carson. "Thank you for bringing me here Carson. I'm really glad you did." He sat down next to me and kissed my forehead. "I would do anything in the world just to keep you happy Angel." I leaned up against him while he wrapped his arm around me. I really needed this since the past few weeks have been stressful as I didn't know how I got here and all the men here are creepy! I soon dozed off and ended up dreaming about Carson and I together when we were older. I ended up waking up to an also asleep Carson. I got up quietly and tiptoed over to the pond and got a drink. As I waiting for Carson to wake up I laid down on the grass next to him and listened as birds chirped and bugs buzzed. After a little while Carson rolled into his side and wrapped me in a hug. "Good morning Angel." I laughed at how sleepy his voice sounded and pet him. "Good morning Carson." Before heading out I cut off a branch from the tree hoping I could grow one like it at the den. Carson transformed into his wolf from and we headed back home. Once we got home I quickly got off and found a spot next to the den which got quite a bit of sun. "Carson! Can you come help me dig a hole real quick?" He came to my side quickly and nodded while he turned into his wolf form and started digging. Once he finished digging I planted the soon to be tree and watered it well. I then headed inside and laid down by the fire that Carson had started. He came and cuddled next to me and we fell asleep in each other's arms once again. He snored quite a bit through the night but it didn't mind me since I was really tired. We woke up to a loud bang on the door and the sun peeking its way through the bottom of it. The door got busted down and a man ran in quickly. "We need to get out of town! There has been a fire spreading through it and we can't seem to stop it!" Carson grabbed me and we ran out of the door. There was smoke up in the air which made it harder to breath. I put my shirt over my mouth as Carson ran us into the forest. As we got to our destination many more people started showing up. They talked quickly as they were unsure what to do but I figured since there was a river that went through the middle of the town it should be easier to put the fire out. However, I had a feeling that today was not going to be a good day.
