''What?'' Walden's face changed.
''I'm sorry but aunt made me promise her not to tell you.''
''This talk is not over.'' Walden said before disappearing.
Lucia sighed and walked out of the room. She saw a man sitting in the hall sipping tea with Ali.
''Lord Boaz is here already?'' Lucia blushed as she asked the handsome man.
''Yes, lady Lucia'' Boaz nodded his head.
''I will bring you a cup of tea, lady Lucia.'' Ali said and stood up.
…..
Deep inside the forest….
Walden's figure flashed through the woods at a faster speed. He was looking around with a sharp gaze. The forest was a wide and vast area and he hadn't being there in a long time.
He stopped in front of one tree and saw one of Alison's sneakers on the ground. He picked it up and sniffed it. He took in her scent and his eyes turned red.
Holding the sneaker, Walden disappeared.
…..
Inside a well-protected house in the middle of the forest, Alison was tied up inside a symbolical pyramid with her hands and legs apart.
With lit red candles under her feet, an enchantment portion along with inscriptions were written around the candles.
Alison slowly gained consciousness and looked at the scene with a blurry gaze. It took her a while before she could finally tell what it was.
Her nanny granny had always told her about these type of things. They were done to either invoke the spirit of a dead person or make a sacrifice.
Alison didn't know which one was it but she knew she was going to die in the end. She closed her eyes and prayed silently.
''God, I never really believed in you and I've always blamed you for taking away my parents but please, help me. Help me, please!'' her silent pleads came out as she looked on helplessly.
….
''Help me, please''
Walden stopped when he heard the voice. He had somewhat recognized her voice. It was unique. From their first encounter, when he heard her speak, he thought she had a beautiful raspy voice.
Walden's eyes sharpened as he looked at the area. He finally saw the hidden house behind the thick bushes. He pushed through and finally stood in front of the house.
Walden was about to take a step when he smelt a foul aura. He looked at the lines marked and noticed they were enchanted spells written out to stop anyone from entering inside the house.
Walden smirked and muttered, 'nuisance''
He then stretched his hand, parting the spells and making a way through to the door. He walked over and kicked down the door and entered.
There were three people in the hall. A family of three to be specific, a father, a mother and their son who looked to be about 10 years.
They were having dinner when Walden entered. Walden looked at them and snorted sarcastically. They seemed to be having a feast as there were a lot of fruits and fresh human meat on their table.
''Because of dirty people like you, the world is still against we non-humans. Then again, how can human beings trust us when we eat and drink their blood for survival?''
''Lord… Lord Walden…'' the man and his family stood up. They had shocked expressions as they didn't expect him to be there.
''Where is the woman you took?'' Walden asked coldly.
''She… she…'' the little boy was about to reply when his mother stopped him.
''No, shut up Alonso. Have you forgotten why we have her? Lord Walden, we found her first. Even if you want her, you should wait until we are done with her.'' the woman said.
Walden smirked and looked at them with a cold gaze. His eyes turned red as he asked, ''are you sure you want to fight me for something that is already mine? You do know the consequences, right?''
The woman was determined to fight Walden. She has searched for that woman in the room for a long time. She has looked for her for a long time because they needed her to complete their ritual of becoming fully humans and to give their son an immortal soul so that he could lead their clan for the new generation. She couldn't let anything or anyone come in their way even if that person was the alpha Walden Kenji.
''Lord Walden, please we went through a lot in order to get that woman. Can you please look the other way? She is not even human, so technically we are not harming any human being'' the man said to Walden.
''So?''
''It means we are not giving her to you. We found her first and according to the law of Faustus, we are entitled to her'' the woman said strongly.
''Even if that woman is my bride, you still want her?'' Walden asked and the family revealed shocked expressions.
''Don't tell me you couldn't even sense the soul that is in that body? Fools!''
''Then, we will give her soul to you once we are done. We promise, we won't harm her soul'' the man said.
''Does it look like you have a choice? You seem to have forgotten who I am, need I remind you?'' Walden asked and looked at their son. The boy's body suddenly floated in the air.
''Alonso…'' the couple yelled and turned to look at Walden but he wasn't done.
Walden snapped his finger and the lamp fell down from its stand. The fire soon spread and surrounded the couple.
''What are you doing, Lord Walden? This is not fair'' the man spoke.
''There is nothing fair in this world'' Walden said and looked at the fire, ''if you try getting out of the fire, it will follow you everywhere you go. Try it if you don't believe it. Right, it won't kill you but it won't stop tearing your body apart too''
Walden kicked open the door and entered. He saw Alison in the pyramid and sighed, ''I can't believe I am doing this just because Lucia claims she has the soul of my late wife''
Walden stretched his hand and pointed at the pyramid and it broke apart. Alison's body was about to fall and Walden caught her up.
Alison looked at Walden with a weak smile and muttered, ''you really came to save me''
