"My Queen, do you need anything else?" asked Nora as she smiled as Wura was tucked into bed as Nora finished tidying up her room.
Wura just shook her head, she just felt so tired, and her voice was cracking, maybe because of all her crying, but she just did not have any strength left in her.
"Alright my Queen, I will leave you to rest now, please have a goodnight, sleep well" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head, it was already very late, and she wanted Wura to get some rest before another day would start tomorrow.
Nora smiled as she walked to the door and she was about to grab the door handle when she heard Wura call out to her.
"Nora" called Wura in her cracked voice.
"Yes my Queen?" asked Nora as she turned to look at Wura and she smiled.
"Do you need anything?" asked Nora.
"Please do not leave Nora…" said Wura as she took a pause.
"Stay here… with me" said Wura as right now she really did not want to be alone, she needed someone here by her side… that was the only way that she could feel better, she just felt depressed whenever she was alone.
Nora was surprised that Wura had asked her to stay, before all Wura wanted was to be alone, but that did not seem to be the case right now.
"Please Nora, stay…" said Wura as she pleaded with Nora, she really did not want to be alone.
"Alright my Queen… I will stay with you" said Nora as she smiled, she never wanted to leave Wura all alone in the first place.
"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she wanted to smile, she really wanted to smile, but she just could not.
"You do not have to thank me my Queen, It is my pleasure" said Nora as she smiled, she was never going to leave Wura to be on her own, not at all.
"Still… thank you Nora" said Wura as she knew that not many people would want to stay here with her when she was like this, regardless of if she was the Queen or not, she did know that she had been very demanding as of late, and she had been pushing everyone away, especially Nora, and still yet, Nora was here, ready to serve her, to listen to her, to stay here with her… she felt… better.
"it Is alright my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she walked to sit down on the couch, she would stay here for as long as Wura needed her.
"I was pushing you away… and yet, you are still here" said Wura as she looked at Nora.
"You do not need to say anything my Queen" said Nora as she smiled.
"I know that if I was the one in your shoes, you would do the same for me, and even more" said Nora as she smiled and all Wura could do was just look at Nora.
"Goodnight my Queen" said Nora as she smiled, she knew that Wura might have been tried from everything that she had did today, so she wanted her to get some rest.
"Goodnight Nora…" said Wura as she looked up at the celling, she doubted that she would be able to sleep, but she just took a deep breath as she closed her eyes and she tried to empty her mind.
…
"Oh Alaric… I am sorry, please forgive me" said Nigel as he sighed and he just stood there, looking at a portrait of Alaric that was hung on the wall.
"I was not able to protect Liam… and now he is nowhere to be found" said Nigel as he sighed and he shook his head, he had lost his sister, his wife, his child, his in law, and now, his only living family member, his only nephew was gone.
Nigel had really tried to stay strong, to act like he was positive that everything would be alright, but the truth was no, no nothing was alright at all, after the third day of looking for Liam with no luck at all, Nigel started to feel fear, but he tried to be positive, and now, it was the night of the sixth day, and his nephew still had no returned.
As much as he would have liked to have hope, he was slowly loosing it day by day, his heart really could not handle anymore.
He did not want to be alone again, he did not want to have to lose his family.
"I should have come when you sent for me, regardless of if I was ill or not" said Nigel as he looked at Alaric's portrait, the bright smile on his wrinkled face, Nigel missed seeing it so much, to him, Alaric was much more than his King, or the husband of his sister, he was his brother, they had always been very close.
"And now… Liam tried his best to prepare the Kingdom for what would happen, and in the end… he was unable to save himself" said Nigel as he spoke to himself, as if Alaric could hear him talking.
"And Wura… the poor girl, she is too young to become a widow, and the Kingdom cannot bear the loss of their new King, not now" said Nigel as he shook his head, this was all just too much.
"We were all waiting for the Spring to bloom, and it would seem that with the new season, great despair followed" said Nigel.
"I have never been strong Alaric, not as strong as you… but I know that if you were here, you would tell me to keep hope alive, oh and I am desperately trying to keep hope alive, but it is just too hard my brother… too hard" said Nigel.
"I do not want to lose my nephew, I do not know if I will be able to handle it, and well Wura… she is already grieving, she feels terrible" said Nigel.
"I always wondered how you dealt with Vivi's death, but I knew that it affected you greatly, more than any of us, because you never remarried, even though you were still very young when she went on into greater glory" said Nigel.
"I guess that all I am trying to say is God give me strength, and I pray that my nephew is alright, wherever he is" said Nigel as he took a deep breath and he walked away in the direction of his room.
…
The next morning.
"Good Morrow my Queen" said Nora as she smiled, and Wura frowned when she felt a great bright light on her face as she reluctantly opened her eyes.
"Good Morrow… Nora" said Wura as she opened her eyes and she sat up straight in her bed as she rubbed her eyes, no wonder there was light on her face, it would seem that Nora had opened her windows, and the warm sunlight was making its way into her room.
"My Queen, how did you sleep?" asked Nora as she smiled and Wura looked at her.
Honestly her sleep was neither peaceful or troubled, she had not dreamt at all, all she had seen was darkness and Wura preferred it that way, because that was how she felt right now.
"Fine" replied Wura as Nora smiled, she was glad that she slept fine, she slept better than those other days.
"Nora, you slept here?" asked Wura.
"Well yes my Queen, I did" said Nora as she nodded her head and she smiled and Wura felt something, she did not know what It was.
"My Queen, shall I prepare you your bath?" asked Nora with a smile.
"Alright then" said Wura as Nora smiled.
"I will be right back my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she walked out of Wura's room as Wura sighed.
Wura got out of bed as she walked to her window, she was going to close the drapes, the light entering her room was just too much for her.
As Wura was about to close the drapes shut, she paused when she looked out her window, and she saw the green meadow, all the snow that was in the field before had melted, and many flowers had bloomed in their place.
Wura never took note of this before, she never remembered that her favourite season had come, because her heart was filled with so much despair that she could see no light.
Wura looked at the lovely, colourful flowers, on a normal day, just the mere sight of them would make her smile, and she would want to paint them, but right now, she had no vigour for that at all.
Everything just reminded her of him, of Liam… she remembered that he had said that they would consummate their marriage in the spring.
Wura just felt so bad, if she had known that all this would happen, she would have done everything he wanted, with no questions asked at all, she just wanted him back with her.
