"You do not need to feel nervous at all, my father is a very jovial man" said Liam as he smiled.
"Although he can be a bit serious at times" said Liam as he laughed.
"Who said anything about me being nervous?" asked Wura as she turned to look at Liam.
She and Liam were currently in the Castle's dining room, it was a very large room and the dining table was a very large one, in fact Liam was sure that this dining table was three times as large as the one in her home.
Wura and Liam were sitting right beside each other at the far left corner of the dining table, while the head seat of the dining table was left vacant for Alaric who was running a bit late.
But that was no problem at all, the King could run late, but you could never keep the King waiting, which was why Liam had sensed Wura's uneasiness, and he had tried to assure her that everything would be fine, but knowing how Wura was, she replied to him immediately.
"Oh is that so?" asked Liam as he chuckled at her, the fact that she always tried to refute him, even though he was always right, was just funny.
"Of course, I am just cold that is all" said Wura as she made an excuse, she was not going to let Liam know that she was scared at all.
"Oh???" asked Liam.
"But I feel rather warm" said Liam.
"Well of course you do, you are a man, and not to even talk less about the fact that you are the prince" said Wura.
"Do you not know that women have a more tendency to feel more cold than men" said Wura.
"That is just how God created us" said Wura.
"Well then in that case, let me tell them to increase the heat" said Liam
"No" said Wura as she was sure she would start sweating.
"No???" asked Liam as he wondered what was wrong with him telling the people to increase the heat.
"Yes No" said Wura.
"You will bruise my ego if you dare increase the heat now" said Wura proudly.
"And do please tell how exactly I would bruise your ego by increasing the heat??" asked Liam as he was ready to hear utter nonsense, but at least it would be funny watching Wura try to justify her unreasonable action.
"Well because you claim to be my future husband, and yet you cannot have this simple fact in mind" said Wura.
"If I cannot trust you with the correct temperature of heat I need, how can I trust you with the rest of my life??" asked Wura as she looked at Liam confidentially.
Speechless... that was the only word that could explain how Liam was feeling right now, and that was speechless, Wura never ceased to make him speechless with the words she uttered from her mouth.
"I will note this fact" said Liam as at this point that was all he could say, he was extremely tired.
Spending the entire day with Liam today, proved to him that when they were together, Wura would either find ways to refute him and annoy him at all times, or if she did not do that, she would glare at him like the enemy, he just had to get used to it.
"You better do" said Wura as she was shocked that he actually agreed to her absurd idea, but regardless of that she held her head up high.
...
"It is already past dinner time, and Wura has not returned yet" said Lawrence as he was in his study.
"Oh Lawrence, relax" said Ireti.
"Let your mind be at ease" she said.
"Yes brother relax" said Tessa.
"She must have probably stayed for dinner with the King and the Prince" said Tessa.
"I am aware, but..." said Lawrence.
"But nothing Brother, she is not just with any man, she is with the Prince, and he shall make sure that she returns safely" said Tessa.
"Tessa is correct Lawrence, so please relax" said Ireti.
"Alright... Alright, you both are right, I shall not trouble myself anymore" said Lawrence, it would do him no good seeing as both his wife and sister did not see anything wrong with Wura returning so late.
...
"I am sorry for keeping you both waiting, please forgive me" said Alaric as he walked into the dining room.
"I had an important prior engagement that could not be broken" he said as he walked to the dining table.
"That is alright father" said Liam as he stood up from his seat and Wura followed after him.
"Good Evening Father" said Liam.
"Good Evening your Majesty" said Wura as she cursiied.
"Ahhh good evening my dear" said Alaric as he saw Wura and he smiled.
"Please sit, please" said Alaric as he sat down and Liam sat down and Wura followed in suite.
"Please accept my apologies for keeping you waiting" said Alaric as he looked at Wura.
"It is no problem your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled.
"You are Diwura Lily Scot, daughter of Duke and Duchess Scot, if my memory serves me right" said Alaric.
"Yes your highness" said Wura as she nodded and she smiled.
Liam was right his father was not scary at all, in fact he looked like any ordinary old man, but of course he had a regal presence surrounding him, and no one could mistake him for an ordinary old man.
And yet with his authoritative presence he did not allow Wura to feel scared at all, in fact Wura felt like she was speaking with a man and not a king.
"You are a very beautiful woman" said Alaric as he smiled.
"Thank you your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled, the maids began to set the table.
"My boy, I hope you have treated our guest wonderfully?" asked Alaric as he turned to Liam.
"Of course I did father, she is my betrothed after all" said Liam as he smiled and he looked at Wura.
"Haha of course, of course" said Alaric as he laughed.
"So please do tell me how you two both met, and how Liam knew that you were the one?" asked Alaric as he began to drink his soup.
Liam looked at Wura and Wura looked back at him, Liam knew that his father would not be happy with his little trick, and much more less with the fact that Wura was marrying him to show him that she was not an easy woman.
"Umm father" said Liam.
"Your Majesty, we met because your son is quite a peculiar man" said Wura as she spoke up.
"Oh??" asked Alaric as he looked up.
"And how so?" he asked as he looked at Wura and then at Liam, and Liam just smiled sheepishly.
"Well your Majesty" said Wura as she looked at Alaric, and Liam looked at her with an expression that read "What are you doing?" but she just ignored him.
"Your son over here can easily sweep off any maiden off her feet" said Wura.
"Oh is that so??" asked Alaric.
"Yes your Majesty, in fact he can utter words that can render any maiden speechless" said Wura and she looked at Liam with a smug look on her face.
"Wow, I never imagined that me son was a charmer" said Alaric as he laughed.
"Oh he is your Majesty" said Wura as she laughed and Liam joined in because he did not want to seem suspicious.
"I thought that he had not inherited my genes of charming" said Alaric.
"Oh your Majesty, you were a charmer??" asked Wura in shock.
"Well yes my dear, back in my old days, I was quite the charmer" said Alaric as he laughed.
"Although I have put those days behind me" said Alaric.
"Your Majesty this is quite a shock to me, I would have never imagined that you were a charmer" said Wura.
"My dear, do not let my old face fool you at all, back in my day, I really was something" said Alaric as he laughed and Wura laughed and she ate her food.
Dinner was very peaceful actually, there were light conversations in between meals that made Wura feel less heavy, even Liam was relaxed, Wura did not feel like an outsider at all.
"Your Majesty, Dinner was delightful, Thank you" said Wura as she smiled and she bowed her head.
"No need to thank me my dear, it was lovely to have you" said Alaric as he smiled and Wura smiled.
Wura looked at Liam, and he could tell that she wanted to go home.
"Father, I must go and see off Lady Diwura" said Liam.
"But why?? My dear you can stay the night here, the castle has more than enough rooms" said Alaric.
"I am aware your highness, but I miss home, I really want to go back home" said Wura as she bowed her head down.
"Well that is alright my dear, you may go" said Alaric as he smiled.
"Thank you your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled.
"Liam take her back home safely" said Alaric as he looked at Liam.
"I will father" said Liam as he smiled and he stood up and Wura stood up.
"Thank you once again your Majesty" said Wura as she curtsied.
"You are welcome my dear" said Alaric as he smiled.
