Wura made sure to open the door of her house very quietly, she did not want to accidentally wake anyone up at this late hour.
She opened the door and she walked into the house, with her boots making a creaking sound on the old wooden floors of her house, she removed her coat and hung it on the coat rack.
"Wura" called Lawrence as he was sitting right across the other room as he was waiting for Wura.
"Ahhh Father" said Wura as she smiled and she turned to face her father sheepishly, she knew that he would be waiting for her, after all he had only given her permission to go out with the prince, and not to end up returning at such an ungodly hour.
"Before you get upset" said Wura as she knew it was best to tackle the situation.
"I had dinner with his Majesty, and his Majesty was caught up in an very important meeting, so he joined Dinner late, and we ended up finishing dinner late, and hence why I am late father" said Wura as she quickly explained.
"Please do not get upset father, I could not leave so soon, the Prince had already informed his father of my coming, and his Majesty wanted to meet me" said Wura.
Lawrence sighed, of course he could not get upset at her when she put it that way, now that she had said that, he had realized that he had been worrying for nothing, Wura did not just go out with any man but the Prince.
"Of course I am not upset with you my dear" said Lawrence as he sighed.
"I was just worried, that was all" he said.
"Oh father, you did not have to be, I was in safe hands" said Wura, because as much as she did not want to admit it, and as much as it killed her to say it, Liam was the safest person she could be with in the Kingdom, although he was a womanizer, which was very ironic.
"I know" said Lawrence.
"And where is his Highness??" asked Lawrence.
"Ahh well father, his highness wanted to come and see you and mother, but I refused him" said Wura.
"I told him that it was too late, and that you were all probably asleep by now" said Wura.
"So he agreed and he asked me to send forth his greetings" said Wura, one thing she knew was that she was not to hide anything from her father, if there was someone she would tell everything it would be him.
He was very understanding, and most of all he did not judge anyone anyhow, he hated lies and that was why Wura always told him the truth, her father was not an angry man, but when he did get angry, he would be very angry.
"I see" said Lawrence as he seemed to be thinking.
"Well then my dear, I am sure that you had a very busy day" said Lawrence.
"So you may go up to your room" said Lawrence as he stood up.
"Alright Father" said Wura as she smiled.
"Goodnight father" said Wura.
"Goodnight my dear, and see you in the morning" said Lawrence as he smiled, he wanted to give her a hug, but he was sure that she was still cold from the fact that she had just entered from outside.
Wura walked up the stairs and she entered her room and she closed the door to her room, she heard her father close his bedroom door too.
She sat down on her bed and she sighed, she removed her boots and she placed them by the side of her bed, she removed her gloves and she began to massage her feet.
She had walked too much today, she sighed, she was sure that if she had been wearing heels her feet would have been wounded by now, and come to add to that, she had to take off this dress of hers so she could sleep in peace.
Now that she thought about it, Aunt Tessa did not overdress her at all, in fact she dressed her perfectly, as if she knew that she was going to have dinner with his Majesty, the thought made Wura laugh, she would tell Aunt Tessa in the morning.
...
Meanwhile back in the Castle, it was midnight, and the moon was shining very brightly in the sky, most of the Kingdom were asleep, but not these six men.
"So what do you think of her?" asked Liam as he looked at Zechariah, Elihu, Zuph, Luc and Mero who were all standing underneath the midnight sky back in the training court.
"I think she is comely" said Zuph
"She is very lovely" said Zechariah.
"She is peculiar" said Luc.
"She is intelligent" said Mero, as they all gave their report of Wura.
"And you Elihu??" asked Liam as he turned to look at Elihu, who was resting his back against the Castle wall, with his hands folded across his chest.
"She speaks too much" he said angrily and all of the others began to laugh all except for Mero.
"She is rude, aggressive and very haughty" said Elihu.
"That is not what the rest say Elihu" said Liam as he laughed.
"Yes, true Elihu, why do you say such?" asked Mero as he turned to look at Elihu.
"Ahh Mero, do not ask him at all, he would probably just try to defend himself" said Zuph as he laughed.
"What happened was that he rushed to be the first to greet the princess, and of course he tried his supposed charms on her" said Zechariah.
"The Princess paid no heed to him at all, and she even went as far as saying that she had grown weary of seeing his face" said Luc as he laughed and all the others started laughing again and this time Mero joined in.
"She must have bruised his ego greatly, and hence why he does not like her at all" said Luc as he laughed.
It was good that someone had finally put Elihu in his place, for one, he always called himself the charmer of the group, and that no maiden could resist him, and that was true... well until today.
"Serves you right Elihu, you have been becoming very proud lately" said Mero as he laughed.
"Liam, I advise that you do not marry that woman, she is very controlling" said Elihu as he ignored the others and their jesting and he turned to look at Liam.
"Who told you that I needed your opinion??" asked Liam as he laughed, he was sure that Elihu only said that because he did not want a strong woman like Wura to be their Princess, she would be second in command to him after all, which made them obliged to pledge their service to her too.
"Haha, he is just in pain" said Zuph as he laughed.
"He will get over it" said Luc.
"He better" said Liam as he laughed.
