Gasps erupted from the crowd at both his actions and words.
I can see some villagers with expressions that can be easily translated into fear. Most of them are probably regretting ever being here.
Undoubtedly, they'll be wishing they were anywhere but here.
"Now can we continue with the wedding? I have somewhere else to be." The said devil, who happened to be the same person I met at the restroom, turned to the priest.
"O… o…. Okay!" The priest stammered, as if he were in some ways tuning a high vocal cord.
"You all can sit, and watch us." Smirking at those around, the devil motioned for them to sit down.
Reluctantly, but afraid to spook the devil, the people all sat down, their eyes going to the door as if counting the steps until the door.
And here you all are acting fearful and all that just from seeing the devil, what if I who's doomed to live with an entity like him?
It made me roll my eyes at the stupid people who in some ways thought their life is far better than mine.
Taking a big book from the temporary stand, the priest turned towards us and would have proceeded to start the joining without much Ado, but I stopped him from doing so.
"Wait." With my hand towards him, I made him stop.
"What's wrong?" The devil asked, but I paid him no heed.
Turning, I fully face the people,
I can hear the murmurings from the crowd as they all tried to think about why I decided to stop the wedding.
"I know you all are confused as to the reason I stopped the priest!" I shout, so they can be able to hear my words.
None of the said anything, the hall was as silent as a graveyard, and no one made any sound at all. Not even father, who's looking as frozen as he was when the devil walked in.
Seeing as they want to say anything concerning my words, neither will they do anything about it, I decide to continue with my speech.
" When the deal with the devil was made, I wasn't aware of it. As innocent as I was then, there was no way I would have consented with the devil…"
"What are you talking about? Be fast, you don't have enough time to spend in the mortal realm, I need to take care of some things." The devil's clip and cold voice washed over me.
It made me shiver in fear as goosebumps materialized on my body without much Ado.
Without sparing him a look *I don't know where this type of boldness came from. I know am the fearless prince, but not to the extent of challenging a devil with a reputation that far exceeds time* I kept my entire focus on the people.
"Right now, I'm old enough to make my own decisions. Old enough to know the right thing to do and the one not to do, and for that, I am asking for a chance to pave my future and destiny.
I'm asking for a chance to duel with the devil." I smirk.
Gasps erupted from the crowd at my words. You can see their eyes trying to remove themselves from the socket that's holding them captive.
"What are you trying to do, son?" Father rose from his seat, an alarmed expression on his face. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
"No, I am setting out to show you all I can fight my way out of this."
I've trained ever since I was told the ugly truth. I've sparred and dueled with the guards who guard me, and not to boast, am by far better than they are.
My fighting skills are far more improved than theirs, as I've never ceased practicing. I practice any chance I get.
Currently, it's time to prove everyone here wrong. Time to show them who the real boss is.
I turn to the devil, who has a smirk on his face.
"Are you sure you want to do this, wife? We can just continue with the ceremony, and forget all about this if you just say the words." He looks damn amused.
"You think I am amusing?" I glare at him.
"I don't. I don't think you're amusing, love, I know you're amusing."
"Whatever," I reply in a clipped tone, gritting my teeth, I try to keep my anger in check.
Anger isn't an emotion a person should have. It's never a good emotion to make use of, especially when fighting.
Should your anger get hold of you, your mind will be clouded with it, and that might cause you to be defeated.
"What did you say, wife? We continue with our ceremony?"
"In your dreams." I slip the sword I have on my back out. The sword straightened and got bigger the moment I brought it out.
The sword was my eleventh birthday present from Aunt. She had a witch who happened to be a blacksmith forge the sword. The sword can be easily concealed.
You can make it either smaller or bigger based on your preference, and that's why no one saw it until now.
I had the sword take on a smaller size to better conceal it until am ready to spar. Ready to show the devil he messed up with the wrong guy.
He might be an entity or whatever it is he is, I don't care. All I care about is showing him that he can't mess with someone like me.
With enough training and the sizeless
sword of the dark, I can be able to defeat him without breaking a sweat.
"Let's duel this out." I point the sword toward him.
" I see. You want to play this out the hard way?" He smirks, "let's do it then. I have to oblige my wife's every request,, no matter how stupid it is."
" Shut up! Stop calling me your wife." Darkly glaring at him, I point the sword at him.
"And pray to tell wife, what should I call you?"
"Shut up, just shut the hell up!"
"And that's my home, I can't shut it up."
