"Let's begin then." The devil smirked darkly. "The earlier we start this, the earlier I get this done, and get married to you." Smirking, he gives me a look.
"Aren't you too full of yourself?" I frown at the stupid devil. "You think you're able to defeat me."
"Why should I be? I have absolutely no reason to doubt my strength. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you.
As my wife, I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt you. " Smirking, he conjured a sword.
In another circumstance, I would have been awed at how easy it is for him to conjure things from practically nothing, but this circumstance is different.
I'm here to fight for my freedom, and not to admire the male who came to take me against his will.
" I don't want you to hold back. Give it your all cause I am going to win this battle. Just say no to your goody life. " I smirk.
" Bring it on. "
Charging toward him, I clash my sword with his. Turning as fast as I can while keeping my sword clashed with his, I tried to kick his legs, but he sidestepped my kick. Expertly roving my sword from his, he fast zipped to the other end of the fire circle he erected for this battle.
"Is that all you've got?" I taunt him. Dragging the sword on the floor, I race towards him.
He stood there waiting for me to approach, that sadistic smile still on his face, his hand clenched as if holding himself from doing something.
Thrusting my sword towards him, I aimed for his heart. Twisting, I surge forward, only to be stopped by his sword. Linking his with mine, he removed the sword and sent me flying with my sword.
The force he threw me with caused me to fall into the fire he made.
No.
Scratch that.
I almost fell into the fire he erected around us if not for his invincible wind that held me midair, and gently brought me down to the safer ground.
Standing to my feet, I glare at the devil.
"Why did you help me? This isn't fair, you're making it seem like this is a play for you." I point the sword at him. "I want a fair fight, Mr Devil. I don't want your pity. I don't want you to help me win this fight."
"And who told you I am helping you win the fight?" He tsked, "I don't want you dead, that's why I helped you.
As for winning the fight, my victory is assured. There's no way I'll let you win. You are mine, Grys, and I'll make sure you understand that there's no way out for you.
The deal has already been done, and the union already signed. There's no way out for you." He looks like a person who's just having a walk through the garden on a less sunny day.
" And who told you there's no way out, Mr Devil? I'm going to defeat you, and I'll be smirking while doing so." Racing toward him with a battle cry, I tried to finish up what I didn't complete, but the devil zoomed to the other end, his fire trailing after him.
Sighing in frustration, I wanted to shout at the unfairness of things, but I dare not voice out my anger. Voicing out my frustration might make him mock me more than he's doing now, and that's not something am comfortable with.
"Are you tired already?"
"To hell!" Charging with a war cry, I race towards him, only to have him zoom to the other end of the ring.
Gods!
I groan inwardly.
Why must he fight unfairly?
"Why are you running away? If you say you're a male, why don't you stop making use of your powers, and let's fight this hand to hand?
Hand combat will determine who the winner is." I drop my sword to the ground. Kicking it, I made it fly to the end of the ring, but not too near the flames.
I love that sword enough to throw it away.
"You know, my powers come into full force when I make use of my hands?" He says in a conversational tone.
"I don't care. Let's fight this out."
Utilizing the sword to fight will delay this duel, but with hand-to-hand combat, it won't be long until the winner is determined.
"Let's do that." He nods.
Locking eyes with his, I made to remove my upper clothing, but he stopped me.
"What are you doing?" He asked in alarm.
"Getting ready to fight you. What else?" I made to remove the clothes, but the material didn't budge. It acted as if the clothes are somehow glued to my body.
The more I tug, the tighter it becomes.
"What did you do?" I frown at the devil.
"Nothing." Sending the sword back to where it came from, he charged toward me.
He tried to punch me, but I sidestepped him, kicking him in the behind as I maintained my stance.
"Not too bad." Smirking, he charged toward me.
This time, I was prepared to take him head-on but wasn't expecting how fast he'll be. Knocking into my side, he kicks my legs, expertly sending me flying to the other side.
I land with a thud, making the villagers gasp and groan.
"Shut up!" I glare at them, most especially the father, who looks like he's minutes from joining the fight.
Rising to my feet, I wipe the blood on my mouth.
"Giving up already?" He smirked.
"Never!" I race towards him. Landing a punch on his face, I got a kick on my back, and a punch on my stomach.
I fell to the floor due to the pain. Grasping my stomach, I gasp in pain.
"You said not to play fair, and I am fulfilling your wish."
"And I'm happy about that. I want everyone to know I attained victory by my might alone, and nothing else."
