Adrian did not sit the entire time they stayed there. He was either standing and looking at the bulb that was flickering repeatedly, or he was walking around while keeping a hand on his head.
Joyce had long concluded that he had gone mad, and that was the courtesy of the hit on his head.
"I think we should turn it off." She whispered as she stared at the bulb. "we would need it more if one of those guys came to visit us."
Sitting in complete darkness with Adrian seems to be less than one thing, then being in the dark with those men.
He nodded thoughtfully before looking around for the switch, which was right beside the end of the stairs.
Adrian switched it off, launching them into an eternal darkness making her realize that they were better with the flickering bulb.
Darkness was not good. Darkness was scary and perhaps her idea was not that good after all.
"Joyce."
"Y-yes?" She cleared her throat.
"Talk about something."
