Rose and Liam were both seated on the sofa by the stairwell of his home. Yellow, dim lights were just above them, and the wine glasses were clearly visible under the table that was covered with the shine of the light. Liam shook his head and said, "Wherever I travel, my brother usually gets me some expensive goods."
As the words echo throughout the space, Rose turns around. She stretched her hands as she lay back on the sofa and said, "It's really wonderful. I don't like to spend money on apartments like this because once I use them, the next day I have to give them to some tenants."
Liam smiled slightly as he took in the entire room and realised it had been a while since he had anybody here other than his brother. As he stood up and tapped the table to get Rose's attention, he noticed a quiet warmth beneath the dome.
As Liam clears his throat and says, Rose leaps off the sound as he speaks "Do you need food? Half past eleven is now..." Rose interrupts and adds, "Yeah. I had only wine during the party."
Liam gives her a kind grin and explains that he was somehow relieved that he wasn't able to eat due of the work. As he knocks his head off in the air, Liam says, "Fine. Let me get the supper ready."
Liam leads Rose as they both take large steps toward the stairs. "Are you cooking today? Wow" Rose enquiries as her hands begin to feel chilly.
While washing a large lemon and grabbing a knife to chop it, Liam muses, "Hmm... I did learn cooking when I lived back in America."
Liam leaves the lemon and the knife on the kitchen counter and answers the phone, which was buzzing on the other side of the table.
Derick says, dropping his keys on the table, "The best of the greatest founders are recollecting in the Opera House tomorrow for the late prosecutor."
Liam turns around to see Rose slicing the lemon and frying the noodles while he replies, "fine, let's meet tomorrow morning for the paperwork."
"Let's hang up, Derick" Liam remarks as his eyes enlarge with each leap into the kitchen. Derick sighs and hangs up.
"hey! Leave it alone; even frying noodles is unsafe "Liam remarks as his hands fall to his head. Liam closes his mouth as Rose looks at him.
Liam and Rose enjoyed every mouthful of the delectable cuisine as they chatted for hours without even being aware of the passing of time, washing away the sombre night.
Rose fell asleep on the chair while Liam glared at her pouty face and his ears flushed crimson, signalling that he hadn't seen a beautiful girl in a while.
Liam rubbed his eyes quickly and pushed his chair back to wake Rose, who was dozing off on the hard table. He took the chance of bringing Rose to his bedroom for the night.
Liam pushed Rose to his bedroom with his warm hands, leaving Rose to sleep peacefully, and Rose woke up groaning in her sleep.
After the party, Liam, who was mentally and physically worn out, pulled the curtains in his office, sat on the small bed, and sipped water to help him recover from the exhaustion of the day.
He squinted as he scanned the glum message from Derick on his phone, which had caused him to open his eyes, reading, "Finally the envelope of DU Central company is ready and will arrive by tomorrow morning goodnight!" The following message came from his brother, asking Liam if they could go on a trip.
Liam stated twice that he is unable to move out this year as of right now.
The second question was, "The envelope may arrive at his apartment at any time, and by the time the meeting with the employees will be a success, it would also be over at home. What should he do first?" He scowled once more before closing his eyes and dozing out for the evening.
Liam dressed in a business suit for a meeting with the upper management very late in the morning after receiving an envelope without the sender's name or profile. He pulled one file out of the envelope and saw that the name of the file is James DU Central company as of the late chairman of the drugs company. He opened it and sat on the bed loosening his tie because it was hot in his room.
As Liam tucked the file into the envelope and set it on his working desk, he grinned while glancing at it up and down. As he stood up in his old position, he then heard banging noises coming from outside his room. When he later left the room, Rose had already set up a lovely breakfast for them. He also noticed that Rose was dressed from head to toe in a light pink dress which was too loose for her frame.
When the opportunity presented itself, Liam sprinted over to the table and said, "Good morning and thank you for making this." Liam clutches the plate and looks to the table to see if he may keep it as Rose nods and brings him a plate of sliced bread.
"Did you watch the news?" Rose asked as she turned around. At the side of his breakfast, Liam grabs a bowl that is quite full of cereal and a banana. He shakes his head.
"Why what's in the news?" Liam gesticulates for Rose to sit and talk about the news while taking a bite of cereal of his own.
Rose said to Liam in a gentle voice as she sat on the chair with her slices of bread "The deceased is Dilan Brew. He was seriously poisoned while sleeping at night, and now the new chairman of Paris is going to elevate someone to take temporary charge." As Liam puts his napkin to his lips and wipes them, Rose notices that he has stopped eating his breakfast.
Liam remains silent the entire time, staring at the phone screen next to his dish of porridge.
