It took Zarin a few moments to stop staring at the newest notification. He wasn't sure if his actions would reward it that way, but he had a feeling that it was a possibility. He knew that he felt he had when he touched the Mana Battery's charging rune was mana going through his body, as he had a similar feeling when he used [Wind Rocket] or [Burst of Frost].
So the chance of an action like that positively affecting his [Mana Regeneration] Skill was significant in his mind.
'This is a weekly training? If it keeps working that way, I need forty-eight more weeks to reach its max level.'
Forty-eight weeks was a long time, but compared to the years that one needed to have a chance to reach their B-Rank Skill to their Max Level, it was a drop of water in a lake. Still, Zarin was confident that it wouldn't be that easy for every level, but it would be worth it even if he could use it up to level 10.
He kept his hand on the rune for a few seconds, but even if he could feel mana going through him, the feeling was different. Before, it was like electric waves went through his hand, but now it was more like a breeze.
'I guess I need to wait for a week.'
Since he couldn't do anything else with the battery, he went to get the knife to start removing it. He knew where most of the connection enchantments were, as they weren't heavily hidden. However, when he touched one of them with the tip of the knife, a bar appeared in front of him, which started filling slowly. Once it was completely filled, the rune lost most of its color and looked like just an ordinary carving on the wall.
Zarin was impressed by how the System helped him know when the use of an item was finished. Even if it wasn't necessary in this one since he could tell it by the rune losing its color, it would make a difference in other cases.
'I need to test it more in the future. It should be useful if I try to craft something.'
He kept using the knife to each enchantment, and it took him a dozen seconds for each. With each entrancement gone, Zarin could feel that the Mana Battery emitted less mana. After his encounter with the Faceless One, he could feel the surrounding Mana, which was something he couldn't do before.
It felt like having a new set of eyes, although he didn't see the Mana. It was quite a peculiar feeling, and he still was getting used to it, but he had found some interesting facts.
Almost everything had some mana on them, just the amount was different. For example, even some flowers looked to have some. Still, the amount was barely noticeable, and Zarin could only detect it if he held them.
As for Mana Battery, which had an immense amount of Mana in it, it was easy for Zarin to detect its energy and tell that it had a small leak. Though the leak was almost nothing compared to what it let out bu its charging runes, and through those leaks getting weaker with each enchantment being disabled, Zarin could tell that the Mana Battery was affected.
He was worried that he was doing something wrong, but he had no way to be certain, so he continued carefully.
After finishing the last one, he could still feel a steady leak from the Mana Battery.
'I better hurry to be safe. Eddie seems to have a plan to keep it active.'
Even if Eddie didn't mention what he would do with it, Zarin was confident that he had a plan. Even if Zarin wasn't of a very high level, he was still a person with great knowledge since he had traveled for decades, learning stuff from all over the continent.
Zarin had heard some stories of his travels every time they had dinner together, the first couple of weeks before entirely moving to his tree base. Even after spending the most time in the forest, Zarin tried to visit Eddie to hear some of his stories, but he was too busy training his Skills.
The Mana Battery was finally movable, lighter than Zarin thought. Unfortunately, it was as big as a basketball, meaning he couldn't easily hide it, but he had a plan.
Zarin looked over to his new ring, and after taking a deep breath, he activated its effect. Nearby shadows started moving towards him and surrounded him. In a matter of seconds, even he couldn't see his own body.
As for the Mana Battery, it also turned invisible on his hands. He let it down on the ground, and the moment he stopped touching it turned visible once more. He then picked it up once more, and it vanished once again.
If one could see Zarin, one would notice a big grin on his face.
But soon, Zarin noticed a problem with his current situation. He couldn't see his body, meaning it was difficult for him to do precise movements. It was like he didn't have a body, but this was nothing compared to the time he had been trapped by the Faceless One.
He still had his sense of touch and hearing, so he wasn't totally clueless about his movements. So it was mostly incontinence to move, but not too challenging. He tried to visualize where his hands and legs would generally be in his mind, similar to how he had done in his inner self. Still, all that was similar to using his imagination but was making things easier.
He also used his [Stealth] on his way back, which seemed to be what he needed at that instance.

[Stealth] reached level 5

Zarin didn't stop after seeing that notification and continued his way toward Eddie's place.
Fortunately, the patrol guards were easy enough to avoid, even without him being invisible, but it was a good exercise. By the time he reached Eddie's place, his ring had more than half his duration left, but he deactivated it even if it was a movement of waste.
Unfortunately, not using the ring for the full duration didn't affect its cooldown. Still, it wasn't going to be that long until he could use it again. Since it was an item that had daily uses, the used ones would be recharged when the day changed and not 24 hours after using them.
As Zarin entered the room, he found Eddie in his room, being on his bed, taking a nap. Zarin didn't want to disturb him, as he knew that Eddie needed some time to heal his wounds.
In the meantime, Zarin checked his newly leveled up [Stealth] Skill to check if there was any change. Since it passed the first five levels, it was considered a Basic C-Rank Skill.

STEALTH
Duration: 20 seconds
Cooldown: 2 minutes and 22 seconds
Lvl: 5/50
Description: You have learned the art of blending with your environment. During the Skill's duration, targets have a more challenging time seeing them. The user's [Agility] greatly affects the concealment effect. The concealment effect is reduced by 75% while in combat.
____________________
The change on the duration and cooldown wasn't that huge, as it was similar to the change he had with each passed level up. The only significant change was the reduction when used in combat. Before, it was 90% even at level 4, but now it got reduced to 75%.
There was also a change in the wording on how much the Agility affected the concealment's effect. It was common to happen once a skill passed its Basic form what he had learned from the Journal. Of course, it wasn't the case for all Skills, though, as there was nothing like that on his [Burst of Frost] and [Wind Rocket] even if they were also C-Rank like [Stealth] and were affected by a Stat.
After reading [Stealth] 's description, Zarin started thinking about what to do with his stats points. Because of [Eddie's Kidnapping], he had leveled up once, meaning he had 3 stats points he could use.
He wanted to use 1 on Agility to make it 20, which would immensely increase the stat's benefits since it was a 5 increment. He could use the other two on his Mind to make it at 14, meaning he would need to reach 15 and get a significant boost on its effect once more.
He wanted to increase Endurance and Defense as they would increase his survivability. Still, those two other skills affected his current Skills, so he tried to focus on them for now.
As for Power, he still hadn't much use on it. However, even if he had only 12 Power and understood that this affected his physical strength, his current state was much stronger than when he was back on Earth.
Of course, he had a weak heart back then, meaning he wasn't the best example of a strong person, but he thought his current state was suitable.
So without any more thinking, he decided how to spend his points.
He put all 3 at Mind.
