The entire city was in ruins. The tar Road and bridges have all been destroyed by the nuclear explosion. Smoke bellowed from ruined cars and vehicles, while charred corpses littered the road and the street. The buildings had been thoroughly destroyed! And even a few smaller skyscrapers that were located in front of Mega-Tech had been razed to the ground by the explosions, leaving only a few parts of their body and the foundation intact.
It was by pure luck that Mega-Tech had remained untouched by the Angel fire.
Otherwise, Ryver might not be alive at this moment if the Skyscraper had collapsed. Ryver gazed up at the company and saw that the upper part of the skyscraper had been destroyed, leaving a quarter and a half of its body intact with its body leaning forwards. If there was just a bit more strong force, the skyscraper would immediately collapse to the street.
A couple of zombies had been attracted and were below the street lamp, clawing and roaring towards Ryver.
Ryver ignored them and stared carefully at the street with a slightly solemn expression on his face.
This was a popular part of the city, a place where a branch of the biggest company in the world had stationed themselves in therefore, this particular area was always crowded.
There were more than five thousand zombies roaming around the street according to his calculations. Although he could only see only a bit over a thousand now. The Licker might have used them for its evolution which is why it for to the 1st degree so quickly.
If he didn't want to be surrounded by the zombies, he would have to sneak under the cover of the destroyed buildings and cars.
Stretching out his right arm, the strong reddish tongue stretched out and coiled around the foundation of a building across the street. With a yank, Ryver was pulled across the street. Crossing the street with a swing of his arm, as he was about to slam into the iron and concrete foundation, Ryver pulled his arm back and the tongue retracted back into his palm as his speed slowed down. Finally, he landed softly in the collapsed building without making much noise.
But he was suddenly faced with a zombie, just a few inches away from each other. Now, it was only left to the one with the fastest reflex.
Ryver didn't panic as the zombie attacked immediately, but his speed was already ten times faster than that of a normal human or a normal zombie, therefore the zombie's attack was just too slow in his eyes.
Ryver had time to glance around the building and saw three more zombies within the house. Two of the zombies had some part of their bodies crushed, but they staggered and crawled with the other half of their body, while the last zombie was intact.
There was a flash of glinted light as Ryver turned to a blur and the next moment, the zombie's head was cleanly split into two, he was suddenly behind the three zombies, the environment suddenly turned silent and three heads rolled to the ground as the zombies fell with a plop.
Ryver wiped the blood off his axe and placed it behind him as he carefully walked off the building with a stoic gaze. Even with his stamina not fully recovered, his strength and speed were just too fast for the zombies to react. Ryver could guess that with his vitality at 10 points, he had developed slight immunity against the virus of normal ordinary zombies but although he was crazy, he wouldn't test the theory on himself.
Under the cover of the destroyed buildings, Ryver travelled through the street, picking up some useful items that haven't been destroyed from various houses along the way. He also used Licker's lament to cross buildings and avoid being spotted by the zombies.
In just a few minutes, he was already a kilometre away from Megatech. A few kilometres more, he would come across the large bridge leading outward the city. If he could manage to bypass the bridge, then he would be free of the constraints of the city. Afterwards, he would be 150 kilometres away from his daughter. He couldn't help but anticipate his meeting with his daughter.
Ryver was just by the top of a three-storey building whose roof had been devastated when his eyes suddenly focused and he immediately bent his legs slightly, assuming a combat posture.
The temperature of the atmosphere within the area lowered drastically, turning and sinister. The toxic radiation within the surroundings roiled in agitation, moving turbulently as the wind blew. But strangely, there wasn't a single sound within the area, only the sound of the wind and while this wasn't enough for anyone to be cautious, Ryver's face was strangely very grim and his body tense. It was as though he had encountered something grave.
Within his mind, a glowing orange large paw with sharp dark claws emerged from the cloud of fog walking upon silently upon the ground.
And almost instantly, a white paw stepped out from within the cloud of fog and then another paw, and then another paw until the body of the monster was finally revealed. It was an enormous monster that was three meters tall with dark yellowish skin, covered in dark stripes and a savage expression on its face.
Standing there, it exuded a calm and unhurried, elegant yet savage aura, there was a brutal and murderous glimmer within its eyes as it locked its eyes on Ryver even with the haze If toxic fog between them, it could still detect Ryver clearly and Ryver could also discern the monster finally.
Ryver's face turned neutral but his teeth clenched softly and his eyes focused as they flickered in a soft gleam.
[Name: Saber-Tooth Tiger]
[Type: Type 1 Mutated Beast ]
[Warning: Lifeform is extremely dangerous!]
This was the only information Ryver could acquire from it. He couldn't even attain the strength of the beast which indicated just how high its ability was.
Ever so slowly, Ryver withdrew his twin axes from his back and gripped it softly by the handle.
Suddenly, within Ryver's mind, a luminous claw swiped for his head, splitting it into two before he could react.
