Sophie.
Her pretty face was shaking between my hands. But she wasn't the one shaking. It was me.
Fifteen.
I brushed the back of my finger over her pale cheek, the one that was always rosy. When I called her sparklers for shining so bright, I didn't mean to give her their lifespan too.
There was a commotion around me, but I couldn't care less about anything right now. The one thing that was getting on my nerves was the wind that sped up out of nowhere, getting more of her hair over her pale face.
Bothering her peace, the one that came after a brutal battle.
I moved her body slowly upwards and sat back, then I pressed her back that was getting cold to my chest, I wrapped my arms around her. Her head fell limply to the side, I steadied it with my hand and placed my chin over her hair.
Will she warm up soon?
The wind blew some more, laughing at me.
"STAY AWAY!" The monster shouted.
I was arguing with the weather, but it helped shut up the commotion around Sophie and me.
Good.
