"I swear… I only came to talk." Her voice was weak, but I had no problem hearing it. I could hear all the way to the highway if I focused.
I was a very patient man, still, her unneeded explanation bothered me. I decided that I didn't have to answer her.

It was annoying that she left without a word, knowing pretty damn well that her pack was the side that called for the meeting with the kings at the elder's place, she had insider information and she went behind our backs, not an action befitting an Alpha wolf.
I was disappointed in her.
She sighed, then she coughed. Taking one of the hands she had around my neck and placing it over her chest. I quickly looked ahead and ran faster.
At least she was humble enough to reach out for help, if she hadn't mind linked her father when she did, she wouldn't have been alive right now, and neither would that idiot be. And what would have come next wouldn't have been less than a massacre.
