I watched with horror as her blood was coming off of my hands and down the drain, I scrubbed fiercely, feeling like a criminal, like I did something forbidden.
Like I had crossed a red line.
I was still in the bathroom when I heard the elevator door in the hallway opening, then it was a mixture of footsteps and wheel squeals, I got out in a hurry and froze as I watched two nurses pushing Sophie into the room. One of them quickly pushed the bed that was in the middle to the far corner and placed an unconscious Sophie in its place.
"Because we must refrain from moving her for now, doctor's orders." The nurse spoke in a matter of answering, the thing is, no one asked a question.
"Thank you," Li said.
I looked at him in a daze for three seconds but filed the question in my head for later. She was finally here now for me to see.
And it was so damn hard to see her like this.
