As he held himself of throwing up, he quickly got off of the bed, throwing the bag of elixirs to the side and rolling up the mattress pad and running into the bathroom. 'It seems I didn't have to use my elixirs.' He had a split second thought in the midst of insanity. His nose was about to burst.
He finally unloaded the mattress pad, his clothes, and everything else the black sludge touched in the bathtub. Completely naked, he turned on the water and sat down in the middle of it all as water dropped hit his face.
'There are three more ranks I need to break through in order to reach the apprentice magus stage.' He thought to himself in all seriousness as he sat in the bathtub with his mattress pad and clothes.
After a couple of hours of intense cleaning, Yin changed his clothes and passed off the mattress pad and his dirty clothes to the maids. There was no way in hell he was going to be able to get that off himself.
"What the hell is this!? Id rather smell shit!" One of the maids yelled as she puked with a hilarious expression. Yin couldn't help but laugh as the maids disgust as they took the mattress pad away.
'Finally! Some fresh air.' He thought to himself.
It was the next day. Early in the morning, Yin woke up and immediately decided to start cultivating. Not only did he not want to waste time dilly-dallying, he also loved the concept of magic and also the concept of becoming powerful, cultivating was like hitting two birds with one stone!
Right as he began cultivating, he heard his door creak open slowly. 'What is it this time.' He thought to himself, opening his eyes and looking towards the door.
"Young master Yin! Your being called down to the main living quarters! Its time for the board meeting of Dawn Magus Academy." A maid said.
"Oh its you, Karla." He said. "Look, I don't have time right now. Tell them I'll come another time."
"What?! This is the board meeting! With Dawn Magus Academy! Are your ears becoming dysfunctional!?" She emphasized as she yelled.
"Ai-yai-yai! Alright! This better be important!" Yin said as he got up and made his way to the main living quarters. Scratching his ears as he walked with a laid back strut.
On arriving, Yin saw two people sitting down a couch opposite to a couch most of his family was sitting on with a table holding multiple cups of tea in the middle of them both.
Two of Yin's siblings who were the same age as him and his parents were sat down on one of the couches. On the other couch was a person wearing a tropical t-shirt with tropical shorts. Having sunglasses push up his blonde ruffled hair, blue eyes and beach sandals.
He looked laid back, crossing his legs as he spread both of his arms out on the sofa like an eagle. He showed his teeth with a wide and confident smile on his face, and his stature was quite large, reaching around 6'4 ft. in height and having very noticeably large forearms and calf's that had quite a lot of hair.
Next to him was another man who was much smaller and had a much more unnoticeable presence. Standing at bout 5'7 ft. The man next to him had short, slicked back black hair and formal clothing on with a serious expression on his pale face.
As Yin walked into the room, everyone turned to look at him in unison. "Yin, you have arrived. Take a seat." Hughes said.
Yin walked down the stairs and grabbed a seat from the side, putting it in front of everyone and sitting down with a wide and confident style. "Whadda' want?" He said as he yawned with his hands in his pocket.
Hughes could be seen gritting his teeth as an awkward atmosphere started to surround the room. "Yin... this is your first time in a meeting, so show some manners and greet your superiors." He said through his gritted teeth.
Both who were sat on the couch looked at him. "Superiors? Haha! Don't be silly. No one stands supreme above me father." Yin laughed genuinely, as if he truly believed what he was saying to be the truth.
A short moment of silence dropped like a water droplet. "Hahaha! Your hilarious kid! I like your style!" The blonde man suddenly laughed loudly. "It's going to be good to have you in our academy! Your lucky, its one of the greatest in the mortal plains!" He said smiling.
"I'm sorry sir, but your mistaken! I'm only showing him how an academy meeting looks like. He is not the one going to this academy." Hughes interrupted.
The blonde haired man stopped smiling. "Huh? Why not? He is the same age as those boring kids there, he is also in better shape." He said, raising an eyebrow.
'We are right here... you know that right?...' The kids thought to themselves as they sat there, far too nervous to actually speak.
"Sir Julius. Yin has just woken up from a life time coma, it has only been about six months. His cultivation is at zero, not even at the at human stage rank one. There is simply no way he is going to pass the entrance exams in such short time, when our other kids took over 11 years to reach the apprentice magus stage." Hughes said.
"Ah... I see." Julius said.
Yin looked at Julius without any thoughts. It seemed quite obvious what he was going to say next. "Never mind then!" Or "I was wrong, lets move on." Something along those lines.
"He will still pass the entrance exams. Let him take it. Trust me." Julius said after a short pause with a large smile on his face, showing his pearly whites.
"What? Surely you jest... there is simply no way we can allow him to-" Hughes said in a nervous laugh before being cut off by Julius's serious look. "We will allow him to take it! We will! No need to worry about that! Now... moving on from him. How about these other two? Will they be allowed to take the entrance exams." Hughes said, quickly switching the topic.
"I cannot tell from a first glance, how about we do a little test." The smaller man next to Julius said, standing up and walking to the side. "Kids, come here and raise your right hand in the air." As instructed, the two walked over and did as they were told.
"Throw your greatest magic spell towards me. Don't worry, I'll be able to handle it." He said, also raising his hand in the air.
The girl and boy looked at each other with concerned expressions before facing back towards the black haired man. Soon, blue and red glows started to emanate from their palms.
"Water slash!"
"Fire ball!"
On yelling, a thin slash of water and a small ball of fire formed from their palms and flew towards the black haired man at fast speeds. The two spells however were instantly absorbed by the black haired man with a whirlwind like tornado coming from his palm.
"That is... very good!" He said after a short pause. "You both most definitely qualify to take the test."
"Thank you very much sir!" Hughes said as he stood up.
"No problem, its our pleasure." The black haired man said as he shook his hand. After a little more talking, the two said their goodbyes and left.
It wasn't much of an interesting encounter, but Yin was informed of school. Magic school! A place where you learn the fun and interesting topic of magic!? In school!? It was far too unreal and exciting.
Now, Yin could make plans for the near future, so with a goal in mind, he did just that. To pass the entrance exams, that was his goal for now. He needed to cultivate and breakthrough three ranks of the human stage to reach the apprentice magus stage, that's what sounded like the bare minimum to pass the entrance exams.
He also was informed that the school that he could potentially be going to was "One of the best in the mortal plains." He had no idea what the mortal plains was, but the first couple of words were what caught his attention.
With one of the best academies, his resources would be almost unlimited! It was all perfect!
As Yin thought of all of this in his head, he noticed that he didn't exactly have a time to set as a limit to reach apprentice magus stage.
"Father. When are the entrance exams?" He asked Hughes.
"Huh?" Hughes looked confused. "What are you talking about brat? You think that you are actually going to take the entrance exams? Don't be preposterous. You have no way to even cultivate! One would need to be the best cultivator in the world to reach apprentice magus rank in simply six months!" He blurted out.
"Six months huh? Got it." Yin said. He wasn't worried about being entered into the entrance exams for now. He simply just needed a way to prove himself.
