Yin had all the information he needed, the only thing that was left now was to cultivate. As he started to leave the room, he was stopped by a childish voice.
"Yin! Don't think your better than us just because you are somehow in better shape! Your still worthless trash that cannot compare to us in cultivation whatsoever!" The girl shouted furiously as she stomped her foot on the ground.
Yin simply looked at the two with a bored expression.
"Don't let your ego inflate too much Yin. You are still a street rat. Lets go." The boy said as they both left.
Yin let out a loud sigh. 'What an annoying bunch. I'll have to teach them a lesson when I'm a bit stronger.' Yin thought to himself as he walked back to his room.
'For now, I'll just cultivate.' He thought to himself as he sat on his bed and crossed his legs, closing his eyes and breathing slowly...
Again, the door suddenly started to slowly creak open again. 'What in the fuck?! I'm starting to think I actually can't reach the apprentice magus rank with all of these distractions!' Yin thought to himself as he opened his eyes and looked at the door.
"Yin! Get out of your room!" A brown haired maid said as she opened the door.
"Karla... what the hell do you want this time!?" He said in an irritated tone as his eye twitched slightly.
"The carriages are already outside! You don't have time to waste!" She said in a hurry.
"Huh!? Huh!? Huh huh huh huh!?!? What do you mean!? Carriage!?" Yin was confused and furious at the same time. "Leave me the hell alone for one second!!" He yelled.
'Damn... I was forced.' He thought to himself as he waited outside with his bag of elixirs in hand. 'This journey or whatever is going to be in a medieval carriage. Meaning it might take a long time, and guessing that I will be occupying the carriage with other people, I won't be able to cultivate for this entire time that may last several days!' He thought to himself in dread as his two siblings came outside.
"Heh! This idiot is probably gonna want to compete in one of them as well" The girl whispered to the other. "I hope he does! It will be hilarious to see him get crushed like a bug!" The boy laughed.
"Oi, what are you talking about? Me?" Yin said, overhearing their conversation. The two laughed as they ran to their carriage.
"Yin. Get in that carriage over there." Hughes stood behind Yin, pointing at the carriage that the two kids went into. 'Fuck! Why with those two brats!?' He thought to himself as he entered the carriage.
The carriages started to leave as Yin could see the bustling town once again through the carriage windows. A small sigh could be heard as Yin stopped looking at the windows and closed his eyes.
'These two brats are on the other side of the carriage talking to themselves. This may have actually been a good thing for me.' He thought to himself. 'I can't just close my eyes and cultivate like usual, that would easily catch too much attention.' He said in his head, opening his eyes back up.
That morning, he had read the skill description of "Cerberus" Simply because he was curious. It read:
Yin didn't exactly know what this meant. Did he have to manually guide the mana sea to the natural mana in order to absorb it, like he had done before? Or would it actually be a conscious being that could hunt and absorb mana on its own without any help.
Right now, Yin had no other choice than to hope it was the latter.
'Cerberus.' He said in his head.
Instantly, a bomb of darkness dropped into his vision, enveloping everything in pitch blackness. Surprisingly, Yin's eyes were still open. He could see his mana sea just fine, and he could also see the natural mana around him.
He had gone into this state in a mere second with no concentration needed. The skill had already proven itself, but now it was time for the test to see if the Cerberus skill actually made the mana sea a conscious being.
Yin sat still, only looking down at his mana sea to see any movements. Every second that went by, Yin was more and more discouraged, but he didn't get up, still even after several seconds.
After a minute of waiting, the mana sea suddenly started to move on its own. On the sight of this, Yin could barely control his excitement. The mana sea started to slowly move on its own, going to the mana around the area and absorbing all of it.
'This works much better than expect, still, although I can leave the mana sea to gather the mana on its own, It seems I need to maintain concentration to remain in this . mana-seeing form. Perfect! I now have something to do during this journey, speaking of which... I wonder where we are going?' He said in his head.
They traveled through multiple towns and eventually left their kingdom, which was followed by vast plains and then thick forests. Finally, after three more days, they arrived to their destination, at least according to his siblings.
"This is it!"
"We finally arrived!"
The two spoke about arriving to a final destination, when all Yin could see was thick forest in all directions. 'What the hell are they talking about!? This is nothing but a dense forest littered with bugs and beasts!' He thought to himself, looking out of the window.
Eventually, the carriage stopped as they were let out. The three lined up outside of the carriage. Still, all Yin could see was jungle everywhere he looked. Soon, the carriage also left as Hughes waved goodbye. The situation was simply far too overwhelmingly confusing and stupid for Yin to comprehend. So stupid in fact that it infuriated him.
"What the hell are we doing in the middle of a forest!? Get me back home this instant! I have things to do!" He yelled into the sky, scaring birds out of the trees.
"Calm down you idiot! Follow us... we are near the training grounds." The boy said as the two started to walk through the forest in unison. Yin had no choice but to follow them through the large branches and stones in the vine and bush filled forest.
"What did you say? Training grounds?" He said, still confused about his predicament.
"Yes. When a noble in our kingdom turns six, they come here to train every other year for about six months. Thankfully for us, the Dawn Magic Academy entrance exams are coming up in six months, so we will be able to train here." The boy said again.
"Train where!? In the middle of the forest?" Yin asked, still confuzzled. He wasn't mad about training in the middle of the forest, simply confused.
"No... right here." The girl said as she pushed a large leaf to the side, revealing the first piece of flatland.
A large plot of land with only grass and no trees. It held a ginormous building in the middle of it with multiple training grounds that had no grass. A dusty ground with multiple dummies to train with, along with hundreds of different weapons.
It felt as though Yin had just entered a utopia in the middle of a desert.
"Holy shit..." He said in awe.
The three walked into the large building. Inside was a room that looked like a main lobby where the three checked in like it was some sort of hotel using their noble plates. The thin silver plate that Yin used to get into the Ignosi.
After entering, the two went their separate ways and left Yin with his room number. It all happened so fast, and before he knew it, he was sat down on a bed in an entirely different room then the one he had woken up in only three days ago.
It was a fairly large room with a single bathroom and a single bed. There was other decorations around the place but for the most part, that was all. Still, the place was meant for nobles, so it was very clean and lavish as well.
'There's no point in sitting down. I didn't transmigrate to eat like a fat pig and live like a royal or noble. I transmigrated to eat like a fat pig and rule the world.' He seriously said as he walked back downstairs.
