Chapter 7 - Day 1

Day 1

Mudda might have overlooked and walked without giving second eye at the ongoing struggle. However his eyes fell at the newbie player. Olper recklessly stabbed on the mud hoping that his weapon might hit the monster at some point.

The attempts and the effort put him in the mess of mud however he was still repetitive. Mudda kept looking at his struggle. He wanted to know what was going on.

He liked this type of stubborn players. They keep pushing themselves for the sake of luck no matter if they get nothing in return.

He wanted such kind of players in his team however from the struggle he could tell that he was newbie. Mudda did not mind to stay for a while and help the guy for once. In his eyes making friends would not bring harm even if friend happened to be lower level player.

The mission holder was tired and sitting away. The injured players were no more active to search the scum monster. They could not waste off their life in this rush.

Olper could not slack because it was third chance and the last. He did not want to get thrown away from the mission hunting or this company. Olper wanted to make name under this company while his bad luck was also at the peak.

Mudda could clearly see something moving under the mud. Perhaps the monster was trying to deceive then attack from behind. It means the life of the player was at stake. The newbie players were vulnerable in front of monsters no matter if the monster was also lower level. The monsters wielded higher strength compared to humans.

Mudda walked silently. He wanted the monster to remain oblivious till the last moment. Olper was exhausted and the little bit of strength was ending soon. He was sure of his failure.

At the same time a shadow appeared out of nowhere and attacked with stronger weapon. Blood curdling scream of the monster made Olper think that perhaps his attack fell on the monster however next moment he was certain that his weapon only met mud.

His wide opened eyes searched the player who attacked in the mud. He thought that the mission holder took pity and started active attacks for the sake of mission but he was wrong when his eyes fell at the unknown player.

The monster was not bigger than seven feet and the attack of stronger weapon already put enough damage that it was unable to move much less to look at the enemy. It was dead.

Olper looked at the stronger player agape. He was hell shocked and speechless. Mudda side smiled, it was quite comical to look at the reaction of the newbie along with his present condition. He was drenched in the mud one hand in the air and the other holding weapon.

"The monster is dead. You can rest easy. Let someone wash this monster and get the relic or you are going to do it?" Mudda asked curious. He did not see any other player. It was strange that newbie alone did the most effort.

"Uh…ha the mission holder is there. He will get the relic." Olper pointed the direction and a muddy player stood up to show his stature. The dim light of the night was enough to let Mudda see the mission holder.

"I see. Now I will leave." Mudda felt standing here longer than necessary would bring trouble for him. He knew the enemy has the chance to surround him before entering in the west forests. He should tread carefully in the six regions.

The distance was not short. According to his calculations it might take fifteen days to cross six regions. As far as the pace was concerned it should be faster than the present.

Mudda could run like wind when necessary so he was not in hurry. Collecting team members was another important aspect. He decided to close the distance when needed and look for the stranded players in the meantime.

Six regions covered the first half of the continent while the second half was under the four other private companies those run missions in the Skythrone continent.

The third half of the continent was covered by the west forests. The fourth half continent remained mystery for the explorers and the stronger companies. They were unable to venture there. It was due to the reason that the night moon was unable to send light there and the day sun was unable lit the fourth part of the continent.

It remained bleak and horrible at the same time.

None of the mission teams ever ventured there. The companies did not want to take risk for several reasons. It took them several years to establish their reputation. By sending missions in the fourth part would not bring good outcome in their eyes.

Also the stronger players were not in abundance. The companies needed many years to polish level seventeen or up player. The companies could not bet the stronger players for blind missions.

Of course greed might have driven them to take risk however the present ratio of the relics in their hands was enough to satisfy their wealth lust.

Olper walked toward the senior player. "Senior if it was not you, I might have been dead by now. How I should payback this favor?" the newbie knew very well that he was not in a position to payback. However he did not want to remain neutral and look like insensitive to this favor.

"It is nothing like favor. I appreciate your battle spirits that's why I came to give helping hand." Mudda waved his hand grandly.

Why would he ask a newbie to payback for something he did out of his choice? He was not some swashbuckler who could ask the grass to bow and thank for the favor that he did not crush it under his feet.

"Then I will remember this favor and payback when it is time." Opler thoughtfully nodded.

He knew his present worth which was equal to zero so he decided to payback when the luck gave him chance in the future.
