Chapter 9 - Day 2

Indeed the monster took it as a bully. Mudda sighed. It was against his rules to bully monsters of lower-level however he was here to take the player with him alive not dead. In the files, the description of the specific player caught his attention. Mudda found out about the player and his present location for the mission. This player was warned once for his rude behavior against Kara.

Mudda was shocked that some low-level player has the guts to speak in front of Kara. This caught his interest.

Mudda could overlook this annoyance of the monster for the sake of the player. The player also stopped because he never heard that stronger players ever helped some low-level team for no reason. Well, no one can discuss the rarity of this happening. It was natural for the stronger players to stay away from low-level regions.

"Walk away from the monster. Let me finish it." Mudda gestured for the player to walk behind him. The player was shocked however he listened to the stronger player as if he was ordering him.

The rest of the players saw the mission holder in terrible condition. They hurried to help him since now that the stronger player wanted to finish the monster.

They almost dragged the mission holder away. The monster kept the look of disapproval. There was nothing else that it could do against a stronger player other than pleading. But from the stone expressions of the stronger player, it was apparent to the monster that the pleading might not work. Also, the harsh words would not bear fruit.

There was no competition between level two and level twenty. When Mudda noticed that team members created a safe distance, he jumped and attacked. The attack of the level twenty weapon could freeze the feet on the ground. The monster was unable to protest. If it was given chance it would have shouted vulgarities at whatever branch the player belonged to.

All players abide by conventional rules which were not part of the documents. Well for Mudda rules were nothing at some point in missions. He was known for his unruly nature.

No one could predict whether he would apply any rule at particular situations or whether the self-made clauses would surprise the listeners. The monsters were gutsy because they knew that most players do not cross set limits however Mudda was an exception.

The monster could not scream for help. It fell dead. The difference was huge. Even the weapon did not get tainted with the blood of the monster. The power of the weapon relic killed the monster suddenly.

The relics of the weapon could feel the energy of the opponent and work according to it. The relics were considered breathing part of the monsters of all levels. These relics get attached to the weapons of the player once activated and spend the rest of their life with the weapon and the weapon master.

There was another condition. Once the relic retired the master could throw it off and attach a new relic with a better level of efficiency. It was during the progress of the player and the hunting of the missions. Only the player could keep a balance between the personal progress and the availability of the new better level relic.

It was more than a type of responsibility for the player if he wanted to keep the progress or else it would stop at some point.

This was part of the player's effective disposition. As long as the players could maintain their true disposition they would be taken as the backbone of the company.

Mudda looked at the rest of the players so they could get the relic with ease. He was not here to snatch the mission. They held their breaths and after confirmation, they filled their lungs to get enough air freely. The senior player was not here for the relic of the monster they could rest easy.

Mudda then turned to see the player whom he wanted to meet personally. "Your name is Hellhorn?" Mudda asked.

The player rose to his brows because he was not popular in the branch. Mostly the players keep their distance from him as if he was some snake. Hellhorn knew the reason for this indifferent attitude of others however he did not want to bring it to the discussion because it would spoil his career.

Kara did not kick him out of the branch for an unknown reason and Hellhorn did not want to remind him of the quarrel day. When Mudda called him by his name it was more than shocking however he did not show up his expressions openly.

"I am Hellhorn. Does this senior has something to say?" he did not know the head or tail of the matter so he was careful.

"I wanted to know whether you owe anything to this mission holder or not?" Mudda pointed toward the guy who was trying to rip apart the monster and get the relic.

Well, it was normal. The less experienced players take an oath with regular mission holders to stay in their teams for a certain limit of time to earn their trust.

In that case, Mudda would not be able to take the player with him without the permission of the mission holder.

"No, I did not take an oath. I have yet to consider it." Hellhorn blinked and answered. He did not want to become worse than a slave by taking the oath. However, in case, the mission holder insisted he would be forced to take the burden.

"This is great. Do you want to venture with me? I am on a sudden mission. It would be tough but you will be able to meet the true adventure in the forest. If you are a man of risk-taking then you can join. The choice is yours." Mudda did not beat about the bush.

In his eyes, the sweeter words could not deny the reality of the danger. Hellhorn was only level two. It was a huge difference. There could be life threats at each step in the forest.

"For me today or tomorrow is the same but I cannot delay the chance for tomorrow. I will venture with you." Hellhorn took a few seconds to decide the hardest decision of his life. He was not overlooking the dangers. He could assume his miserable death in case the senior player went back on his words.

"Glad you did not take much time. We can move now." Mudda gestured to him while sneaking to the left side of the forest. He could feel a few eyes noting down his actions.

It was true, the level seven-player was given the duty to strictly chase behind Mudda and provide information about his every step.

When Mudda took Hellhorn with him the player sent someone to inform Kara. It was strange because first of all Hellhorn was not suitable for a deadly mission, secondly why Mudda personally this specific player. Well, Kara immediately understood the reason behind this choice.

He was convulsing with hatred now. In his eyes, Mudda wanted to gather like-minded players in his team rather than making a team for the mission.
