Chapter 31 - Chapter Thirty-One

Cyro stood frozen, thankful Alzie hadn't seen him. When Mira requested to be alone in her room, he decided to walk around the place. He hadn't expected to see Alzie going into the room and then later coming back out, Frazen's scent all over him. He knew what Mira meant when she said she wasn't Frazen's type, but he never knew Alzie's type was the same. His father would have never been ok with it, that was for sure. He hadn't meant to eaves drop on them either, it just sort of happened. When Alzie said he still had feelings for him, his heart stopped. All these years being best friends. No wonder that now Mira was here he was different. She was unwelcomed competition. Made since on why he would fight against the two of them being together. He didn't like that he didn't know this about Alzie, made him feel like he didn't know him at all. The door opened again, and Frazen stepped out. The fox looked to be quite pleased with himself, until he locked eyes with him. They both just stood there, neither one even seemed to blink. Finally, they were interrupted by Vilen, the first time he was happy to see Vilen. But that quickly changed when he saw the serious look on his face and reminded himself of how he is with Mira. If he could, he would beat the fur off him.

"I need to speak with you about Mira." His tone, for once, sent chills down his spine. Every part of his body screaming bad news.

"What for?" Cyro tried to ignore his instincts and glared at him.

"We can talk in front of Frazen if you wish." Vilen gestured over to Frazen. "Or we could speak privately so no one will want to bother Mira."

Cyro glanced one last time at Frazen, Frazen was still frozen with a blank look on his face. He looked back at Vilen and nodded his head. He led him out to the garden, certain no one would be there. The warm sun was still it, its position marking mid-day. He remembered how Mira seemed to admire the roses and went to pick some for her.

"Getting her roses so she'll forgive you." His condensing voice made him want to punch him.

"No, I just thought she'd like them." He hissed back.

"Look Mira is not what I expected," the sound of his nervous voice drew his attention back too him. "Her reproductive area was actually more like our females. Which was unexpected. However, her blood." He seemed to stare at the ground trying to make since of his own words. "It's not like how human blood should be. Basically, all my research can't help."

"Ok so what does that mean?" He didn't like where this was going, not one bit.

"Well, Alzie, suggested we study the way she reproduces." Vilen looked him in the eyes this time and didn't hesitate. "So, I will speak with her, and if she agrees you can be her partner. Or we will find another partner for her."

The anger boiling inside him was too much. He immediately dropped the roses and lunged at Vilen. Who side swept him; no doubt expected him to react this way. He kept trying to hit Vilen, who was nimble and fast. He couldn't think clearly, he was just swinging not caring how he hit him. Just wanted to hint him.

"Look, I understand your feelings for her. However, she is an adult and therefor can make her own decisions." His voice was low and serious but her caught a glimpse of a smile.

He used that opportunity to catch him off guard and knocked him to the ground. They tussled around on the ground; certain someone may hear them. He landed a few good hits before being pulled off him from behind. He did manage to kick him before giving up on getting free. He didn't use his claws though he wanted too. A few good hits could be seen as a mere fight for a mate, but use of claws would be bad and cause those to question the tribes peace between each other. He looked to see who held him, arms pinned behind him. Both wolves were holding him, and they seemed to be glaring at Vilen.

"So, you told him Alzies and your idea." The Kylo one said his voice ice cold.

"But you didn't tell him all the chiefs have to vote on it." Indigo growled.

Cyro couldn't help but smile. Vilen tried to pull a fast one on him, but that obviously isn't going to work.

"There won't be a voting if Mira makes the choice herself." He wiped a bit of blood from his jaw, glaring back at him.

Cyro was going to say something, however a very familiar scent stopped him. He looked over and standing at the door was Mira. A look of pure rage was on her face as her eyes darted between all of them. Cyro instantly wanted to take her into his arms and beg her forgiveness. Not a single one of them made a sound as she walked to them. Cyro met her gaze first. She touched his jaw and inspected him for injuries. Then she turned too Vilen, her voice cold.

"How dare you," she didn't remove her hand from his jaw the whole time. "You think you can manipulate and twist everything to get your way." He was relieved when Kylo and Indigo let go of him. "And you!" Her glare pierced him right in the chest and he fell to his knees. "Your just as bad! Do you not think I can make my own decisions and protect myself" Her voice had softened a little w]ith him, but not much. "You do not get the right to treat me like I'm a child or your property."

She quickly turned away and left leaving all of them in awe. He watched her walk away as her hips swayed, wishing he could follow her too. He slowly got up and started to walk away, but not before giving Vilen a last-minute glare. He wanted her so badly, but he knew now would not be the time to follow her. She was angry and had every right to be. The entire two weeks that he's known her, he never asked what she wanted. Right now, she needed time away from him. They both needed time away from each other to figure out where they were and how they felt. He didn't want her to go home, nor did he want her miserable. He paused in the hall tempted to go further down. His chest ached at the thought of holding her. He let out a sigh and turned to the right instead. He headed down the hall to the separate room he had requested.

The room was silent and empty of course. So many things have happened and changed his life. He had become more open, gentler. His anxiety, however, did rise due to the constant fear of her getting hurt. He closed the door and fell back on the bed, closing his eyes. He brought back the image of her in that beautiful green dress. The colored complimented her skin and hair, making her that more radiant. His eyes shot open as he remembered the roses he had dropped in the garden. That was supposed to help him win her back. Groaning he got back up and headed back to the garden. The longer he was there the more he hated that damn garden. He was trying to rush his way down the hall but was stopped by Alzie. He really didn't have time for his drama. He tried to push past him, but he let out a warning hiss. Not once has Alzie ever hissed at him, but he's never crossed the line before either.

"What do you want Alzie?" He kept his voice low and didn't look at him/

"You have made a big offense against the chief of the tangerine tribe." His voice was cold, but he could here a small crack at the end. "Did you really think there wouldn't be consequences."
